Anyone know a good media player that I can use in a game? There's so much fast paced stuff I can use in Assassins Creed. Something hot-key based preferably.

Mozilla Songbird has the best use-while-window-is-inactive stuff in my opinion
it's kind of like itunes but not s*** and is actually compatible with non-iOS mobile devices.

You can use the default windows media player if you have dedicated music keys and if you want control the player through hot keys then you have to crack the game by using any of the trainers.
