Why all the dair hate? It isn't as good as before by a long shot, but v0.9a's dair was a monster, so it's still pretty good. It can be used as an alternative to nair in many combos, and nair -> dair can sometimes work. Additionally, it's easier to space for beating recoveries like DK's, CF's, Wario's, and the like. MK is still easily top or high tier.

Meta-Knight defines aggression.
But it's alot harder to kill with him than other characters :/

Meh, moar grabs would've been cool. Also, I honestly believe more people should use Auto Dash for the more aggressive characters, as double tapping the keyboard can slow you down. Heck, my Sheik functions perfectly well without ftilt.

Oh yeah, Fthrow chain grabs Falcon to the edge of the stage, tell him I said that.

Probably because most of the people playing Meta Knight are Brawl veterans. I too complained, but I eventually got used to it. Especially with the enviroment change n' all, he isn't as reliant on it anymore.

Definitely right about those recovery gimps tho.

Yes! Auto Dash is so underrated. I never even play Zelda without Auto Dash. Characters with situational F-tilts benifit the most. And it makes dash dancing easier.


It is, people don't even see the benefits to it most of the time. People pass it up most the time because of the fact you can't even use ftilt n' such.

Her utilt has a great feel to it. I would much rather auto dash and use that to follow up on combos then slow down and possible fudge a ftilt.

Despite the D air nerf I think Metaknight is still one of the best characters in SSF2. Heck I'd say he'd even be 1st in the tier list deserving his own tier list just like in brawl but maybe that might be saying a bit to much. Metaknight has one of the best air games in SSF2 rivaling only jigglypuff, has one of the best grab games in SSF2, has some of the best recovery options, has the best edgeguarding game of the whole cast,has decent killing power with his nair/forward smash/down smash, can rack up a lot of damage just like brawl, has priority with most of his moves but without the invincibility frames, and the fact that he's a fast offensive character who's always up in your face and has 5 jumps alone makes him a threat.

I feel like his up-b takes a little longer to cut off than in Brawl and therefore more difficult to use as a kill move near the edge.

Yeah his up-b is also a nerf as well. Not just for how long it takes but also for the fact that you can't even glide up when using it.

I wouldn't say that...

DK, Falcon, and Ichigo are top (in no particular order), definitely is this version. I'd say Meta Knight is at least upper high tier.

I wouldn't say that...

Lol@Falcon xD definitely DK, ZSS, and Ichigo are top tier(atleast online.)

Yeah, Falcon? :xd: Definitely has potential with a solid buff, but right now he's too reckless. As of right now, there are two tier lists: online and offline. At least until some stuff gets smoothened out.
