My handle is Ilyo, and I have been to this forum occasionally though never actually signed up and posted. I am a electronic engineering major, specializing in radio communication (not very useful here I suppose) and logic systems (slightly more useful), I also used to do a lot of graphic design, though never really did much with sprites. I mainly signed up to learn a bit more about sprite manipulation, for a current project I am working on. As far as my programing experience fairs, I am mainly a pure machine code programmer, though I am versed in C, C++, and Assembly for the x86 and z80 sets. Hopefully I can bring something to the forum it does not already have, and it is a pleasure to become acquainted with what seems like such a nice group.

This.

Also, I'm 12, so I have no idea what you were talking about, but good luck with your goal.

Hidey ho~! this is by no means a formal community-more than partially owed to the primary age group--, so relax and enjoy yourself~ By the way, you're super obligated to apply for Spam.

Welcome to MG!

How hard is it to learn C++? Just wondering... I'm interested in making a good quality flash game like SSF2, but i'm only 14, almost 15...

Well, you'll fit in, trust me...

Enjoy milking the forums!

(Ha, milking... lol)

C++ is pretty easy, definitely if you already know some other languages, (such as a form of basic, java, or even flash.) once you learn one object oriented language it really just comes down to syntax, once you understand the way programing works all you need to learn to program in another object oriented language is the difference in syntax. (in my honest oppinion)

And thank you speedtrap ^^

C++ isn't much of a problem if you know another language, but I definitely wouldn't learn it as your first language.
AS3 is a pretty good starting place, I've found.

Coding experience among older people is nothing extraordinary.

Hey, welcome.

Also, I am tired of seeing this "whoa an intelligent person" s***.
Maturity does not equal intelligence.

Stop judging mental capabilities based on maturity.
Just because someone does not write like a faux intellectual Kyzak clone does not mean they are mentally retarded.
