Hey 194, just a quick question, why did you set a deadline so early?

1st, because I can. 2nd, in order to make the game more active (I think it worked). 3rd, you still have lots of time before reaching the deadline.

I shouldn't have taken my vote off of no lynch. I had originally placed my vote on no lynch due to the lack of information and the situation an incorrect lynch would put the town. Recent events have further strengthened my view on this. At the moment there's way too much uncertainty. The town is greatly divided, and almost everyone is starting to look skummy to me at this point. I feel under these conditions, it's a lot easier for the mafia to mislead the town and cause a mislynch, placing the game under mafia control on day 1. It would be better to nl, assess the situation after the first night, and be able to more accurately lynch the next day rather than just finger pointing based on one or two posts.
No lynch. Concrete vote.

| | | | Brikmaethor wrote: Uhm, Gold? There are 12 players, not 11. Why did you change the numbers? We currently stand at a ratio of 8 townies to 4 non-townies. Scenario A brings that down to 6/4. Thus, as you said, we would get only one more shot at lynching an anti-townie before our numbers become even. A mafia victory wouldn't be far off after that. In scenario C, the no-lynch, Day 2 leaves us with a ratio of 7/4 and night investigations to lead our lynching. Even if we make a mistake and lynch a townie on Day 2, Day 3 would still see us ahead of the anti-townies, at a ratio of 5/4. Thus, we still get two lynches no matter what, the difference being that we get two informed lynches, instead of just one. There is little doubt as to which is the better option.
As for your other points, I think that you may have misinterpreted what I said. I meant to point out that a Doctor's intervention on Night 1 was extremely unlikely, and that it should not be relied upon. What I meant by "nigh-complete control" was that if we don't lynch, then we are guaranteed scenario C. If we do lynch, it becomes a toss-up between A and B, with the less-favorable A being the more likely of the two. I see now that I should have made those points more clear, and I apologize for that.
I also completely agree with pressuring role-reveals. The thing that I don't agree with is randomly jumping on a lynching bandwagon, which is a very real possibility, seeing as how you managed to sway almost the entire town with ease. The town should exercise caution, not being overly hasty in our decision making nor too quick to accept the first argument that comes along.
Now, as for the number changing. Either you made a mistake, thinking that there were only 11 players, or you have some way of knowing that two people will die tonight. Which is it, I wonder? | | | | |
I've said it a lot of times, I'm assuming that there's a vig. This is forum mafia where there won't be more than one blue.

Something I just discovered, you can sort posts by author. If you think BB is scummy, (or whatever; BB just seems to be the preference atm), you can click "Sort by Author" then go through them until you find BB's list of posts. Quite helpful

Alright, I'm taking my vote off of The Silent One. The only reason I voted for him in the first place was to try to get him to respond but it seems as though he has failed to do so. And Crabby, this isn't an accusation or anything, but the mafia could just as easily force a no-lynch which could easily give them an advantage.

Mafia can't do that without looking suspicious. For mafia to be able to "Force" no lynch, there'd have to be another 4 of them. Which there's not.

I apologize for my inactivity. I've been kind of busy and you guys just post like there's no tommorow.
Anywho, I'm going to state here that Crabby and Brik are Maff. It's obvious. As Tid said, (About Brik) clever scum, but scum.
Brik: He looks as clean as a washed and waxed whistle, and he's making fantastic arguments, but what he's not doing, however, is taking action. Fine paragraphs of logic, I will give him that. You might notice though, that he almost never accuses or votes after his long-drawn-out thoughts. He's waiting for someone to understand and agree with him and vote in favor of his logic, in order to not look suspicious for doing it first, and then he will take action, but not before. If he's so in favor of not lynching, then I would like to know why he hasn't voted that yet.
It's a brilliant strategy, yes, but his game is up.
Also, although Believe Blood looks extremely suspicious, my role tells me that he is innocent.
Don't have time to write anything more right now.

You may have overlooked it, but Brik is currently voting for Gold, DJ Wiz.
