The game would have an assist mode; where the Pokeballs/assist characters fight with you in a 2-2 brawl(like mewtwo/lucario - mario/luigi), and each character has a unique assist.

Yea, but you wouldn't have to wait to summon them, they'd be permanently out; as if they were another character on the field.
Also, unlike every fan game out there, this one will have a realistic roster(no goku). So there will be more room for characters who could actually be in the real one.
One more idea I thought of. What if you had 3 meaters one for health, one for special attacks(the meter will rapidly recharge, but this prevents button mashers from using the same special over and over again), and a third for you final smash ( basic attacks will slowly boost up your meater, but specials will boost it up at a steady pase). This way its a fair fight weather your a pro or a button masher.

Onscreen D-pad + A and B buttons = mobile Smash clone. The D-Pad would be onscreen, A and B would be the bottom phone buttons (if I-phone or Android) It's possible, just this is a bad idea in general. _________________

Swipe attacks fir specials taping for normal attacks.
Name one fighting game on mobile devices! There is none. Injustice isn't a real 2d fighter like street fighter or mortal kombat and I've yet to see a ssb fan game on mobile devices either(just cause you can play ssf2 on mobile devices doesn't mean its actually meant for devices).
But I'll trust you guys judgment on this one. I'll try something else.

Like I said. The ones up there were mostly remade for mobile devices; but your right. I've never even seen those games before and I'm on my gs3 AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
