As in it doesn't work?

Does it turn on?

If it does and the screen is black, the AV plugs (or whatever the new s*** is called for playing on HD, I think HD cables) might be in wrong, or you are using AV plugs instead of the correct cable.

If it doesn't turn on, the outlet sucks balls, find a new one.

Okkk....

Check Aux, or channel 3, or there might be a "game" button on your remote.

Doesn't the PS3 need special wires to plug into HD monitors?

I remember the guy at GameSpot telling me that when I first bought mine.

Well, HD cables are just AV cables that play in HD. It should work with AV cables, but it would play in normal definition.
