Huh so i'll go by the definition :
Unpopular: not popular; disliked or ignored by the public or by persons generally.

So one can probably associate not popular along with the people ignoring said element.
I do not know much about the SSF2 community so i won't say anything about disliked charas as a whole, but i guess if you really care about my opinion on the subject ( which you most likely don't ) , despite respecting all the reasons as to why the 4 anime characters remained in the game, they simply do not belong in the smash and are the equivalents of 4 retarded children spreading Ink on a beautiful replica of the piece of art that is SSF2. Tl;dr, they're just a stain.
Dishonorable mention to Lloyd & Isaac, even more personal, i already do not like Marth, so more swordies isn't something i'd personally enjoy.

So, on to the main subject: Unpopularity by the people ignoring the character. To answer, i'll be relying on my own European experience with the game so far, and the character i have seen & not seen so far:

So yeah, characters at the bottom could be considered unpopular, but that's my experience so.

Even though I main this character, I must say the most unpopular character must go to bomberman, as I have only met less than 10 other people on the entirety of ssf2 discord who play this character, either main or secondary.

And this comes from the guy who admins the character cord for bomberman.

is definitely the most under appreciated character in the whole roster. I feel like and are also waiting for a day in the sun.

Back once again with a quick update on the poll.

As you all can see we have some new placements in the top 3 since the last post.
Mario has been dropped out of the Top 3 with Chibi-Robo coming down to 3rd place with 6 points.
Surprisingly, one of the most anticipated newcomers to SSF2, Bandanna Dee has found his way into 2nd place with 7 points, making him the most unpopular character behind Yoshi who, to no surprise, still holds the top spot in 1st place with 1 5 points.
I'd love for you guys to discuss why you think Bandanna Dee has such a high placement and where this surge of unpopularity came from.

Peach is super rare. I think i have played against each character at least once all except for her
Also why the heck is so high? People say he's bad but I need reasons other than just because.

the most unpopular character in general has to be Yoshi. He's always getting flak on the Discord.

But in my opinion, I have falco as my personal most unpopular character. What makes him so unlikable for me is that so many people are using him now, most not even knowing how to play falco besides down air, tilt, and laser spam.
I thought my most unpopular character would be lloyd, ichigo, sora, pit, goku, or even yoshi... But Beta's really changed up my opinions and moved this blue bird from boston to the top of my list.

This poll was made before Pichu was announced, I didn't even know that other characters were going to be added to SSF2 Beta with updates. Even so, I won't add him to the list until he's available to the public so people can play with him and give a fair assessment on his popularity or lack there of.
