This is fake. Nintendo likes to do something original. HD is already done by Microsoft and Sony. For the next nintendo console, HD might be one of the features but the main feature will be something original.

You don't know that ecspecially since the Wii is dropping to $150, of course there coming up with something orginal, there is HD touch screen on the remote which is a first for a home console.

I don't know if this is fake or not. I was thinking it will be in HD and no Hd screen required.

It isn't fake. As Q-bit said, Street Fighter 4 has something related to this. It was within the coding...

Not bad. They needed a new console, which I won't buy unless I get bored of my 3DS...

On the other hand, the controller having a screen thing has some MAJOR possibilities.
- Say good bye to screen watching.
- Or, instead of having the game playout on the controller's screen, use it to send secret messages to the other players. It could become a keyboard, or a team based picto chat, allowing you to plot strategies with the other guys without the guy next to you finding out.
- In multiplayer co-op, everybody's knowledge about what is going on is custom. They all get their information on their controller screens and many of them can be mislead into doing something wrong. Example:
In the beginning of the game, 4 heros have different intros. Each of them are informed about the plot by their character's mentors, each recieving different parts of the whole plot, each having their own goals set. One could even be tricked by his secretly evil mentor into doing the wrong thing completely, providing an interesting plot twist when he accidentally kills a good guy as he thought it was the bad guy.
Characters could each suddenly have their own personal visions or backflashes of personal memories on the screens...

When there is a locked door with enemies closing in from behind, one player could pick the lock by playing a touch based minigame on his screen whilst the others battle the enemies.

The 3DS could, perhaps, be used in place of a controller, after all, it has buttons, it has a touch screen, the wii can interact with it, so why not?

The touch screen could even give you, well, more buttons!

As for the name: Project Cafe. Its a silly name. But so was project Dolphin. Infact, the least silly codename we got was 'Revolution', and it turned out to be the least favorite of nintendo's consoles.

Still, I'd to hate to see the price of it all.

Actually, I doubt the 3DS could be used, from what we've seen of the controller it has 4 shoulder buttons.

The 3DS won't be used, it's not HD. And it's a console, not a controller. Let's not forget that while it does have an HD screen on it, this is still the controller we're talking about. I doubt it'll play games on its own.

For the next console, maybe Nintendo should either improve, or ditch the motion-sensor...

Practically though, it controls your mind though since it's pretty cool! I want one... All I got is an original DS that's like 6 years old and falling apart...

The next Mario Kart and Smash Bros for this console should have DLC, Sony and Microsoft have some on all of their games... Nintendo? big friggen goose egg... 0

Also if you read the article I linked you guys to, you'd see that this will be backwards compatible, but the new controllers aren't motion sensitive. You'll be able to use the Cafe controllers as motion sensor bars, and will need to use Wiimotes and Nunchucks like before.

If it is going to have better HD than PS3, it has to be 2160p
