The News Section is a section to get caught up with news from around the world because some of us no longer have a dead tree summary of world events delivered to our doorsteps every morning. Articles run the gamut from funny to interesting to insightful to important.

Regular users can not create new topics here. For those aiming to be regular contributors for the news section please apply for the News Crew Usergroup. Those whose do not contribute will be removed again. The regular quota for contribution is at least 1 article a month.

And before anyone asks, Villerar just earned himself a commendation. Well it was fun while it lasted but Cleod does not approve of recognising members who go above and beyond the call of duty. His loss.

Please be mindful of what articles others post, and the "themes" of the articles you post yourself to ensure they are not too similar. We want to keep the section as fresh as possible, and the best way to keep people interested is to find a variety of news articles and avoid posting the same types of thing as everyone else. Examples of trends to avoid might be the following:

-Stories of video games causing violence
-Minor updates on ongoing political issues (i.e. "the government shutdown continues")
-Similar sounding stories of gun violence / hate crimes.
