More contrast might be a thing to consider, especially when working with white. As for the hair curls, I'd research it a little more on google or so.

I'll work on the contrast, and then I might as well make catalog it, seeing as how much I use white*. As for the curls/ringlets, I think I unintentionally fixed them in the devamp(?) They need to be lower and smaller.

More contrast in all the colors, an improved haircut, and no longer looks high as a kite. Hair probably still isn't shaded correctly, but I feel a mixture of vacation and laziness has taken enough time.

Considering I wasn't the one who made the bases, that might be a bit difficult. These are all made from outlines Steven made.

A preview of (hopefully) what's to come. I'm aware that it isn't very interesting at the moment, but his old pose would look weird with what I'm planning.

It actually looks pretty good man. I'd just say the shading needs some work and you should lower his right (our left) leg 1 pixel down.

(I also remade a sprite of yours on my topic, i thought it was pretty cool so I took a shot.)

where's riggs?

They are all the main characters of their respective series. Riggs was an accident made when I was messing around with spriting and just happened to fit into WAR. Maki's the real protagonist and hero.
