I'm just going to have to point out that in all of the videos and screenshots we've been given there is something missing.

See if you can figure it out. It's character specific but you should be able to tell if you've played all the games.

I had heard something about a screenshot being posted every day. Then I looked at the website, which has a picture of Samus at the top that isn't on Samus's page. So I'm guessing this is the case, but I could be wrong...

Is it possible that someone who has a wii u can fight against someone with a 3ds?

A little funfact on this topic;

There are no screenshots of the Wii Fit Trainer with the '3DS' label on them (whilst all the other confirmed characters do have multiple screenshots from both versions). So in other words, the Wii Fit Trainer is the only character that does not appear on any screenshots from the 3DS Smash Game.....

Yep, noticed that just now as well.

So thus far the only newcomer with 3DS screenshots is Mega Man. I guess it's not really at thing then after all. So far they only explicitly stated that the stage roster would be different, and I'm guessing that if the character roster was different across versions then they would have made a more concrete statement about that as well.

Not if all the stages are different, no.

They could be restricted to just Battlefield, but let's be real here: f*** that.

out on the Nintendo 3DS.

I don't think they're exclusives. It's probably that both the villager and the wii fit trainer weren't transitioned onto the 3DS version yet since the style between them is somewhat different.

Yeah exactly, I thought only SheFit had WiiU-only screenshots but if Villager doesn't have 3DS screenshots either it's probably nothing.

The game is (obviously) still in development. Villager and WFT don't have 3DS screenshots because they haven't been put into the 3DS version yet.

There's confirmation there is no multiplayer between consoles, but they can connect. Luckily, this source both confirms the same characters and no multiplayer between consoles.

It's obvious there'd be no multiplayer between consoles anyway, considering they both have different stages.

Eh, I was unsure. I was thinking maybe connectivity would remove any stages that the games don't share, and that they'd share at least a few. However, the main thing I was thinking about is how the games are likely a bit different in some small way, shape, or form. Engine-wise, that is.

So...I was right about "the same number of characters"?
