While the whole randomly generated levels sounds cool, it'd be cool if there were some premade levels because I find hand-made levels to usually be more fun to play.

There's a difference between procedurally generated and randomly generated. Try Spelunky for a good example.

if it was completely randomly generated then the game probably wouldn't work properly

Right, but the point is that you can have random generation and still have well designed levels, which you can pretty clearly see from games like Spelunky.that have done it already

also, that would make gameplay to be a bit more challenging, not allowing players to consult guides or FAQs

The OP just says randomly, but I understand. I just think hand-made levels allows for more creativity.

The levels are randomly generated but there are a lot of non-random limitations and rules in place that make sure the levels are still both well-designed and not ever impossible to beat.
