neutral: Force-a-nature: Shoot a high knockback(5-9%) projectile in a 15 degree angle in front of him, knockback scales with distance(the closer the more knockback). If used in the air, pushes scout backward
side: Mad milk: Throws a glass of milk(10%), any one hit with it are drenched with milk. Anyone who damages them will be healed up to 20% depending on damage. Lasts 5-8 seconds and can affect more than one character(including the scout who threw it) but cant throw a glass if there's at least on person affected already(no spamming)
up: atomizer: Does a really high triple jump taking others with(repeated 1%, max of 15%) followed by a downward meteor smash swing(5%) Like Mario's up special but more height and less left and right.
Down special: Crit a cola: Upon use the scout does does 40% more damage and takes 30% more damage for 7 seconds, with a 10 second recharge
Final smash: Homerun: Throws a baseball, anyone hit will be dashed towards and promptly swung outta the stage. Can hit ppl who are close to the one hit with the ball. If the ball misses nothing happens.
neutral taunt: Does the conga while saying "Hey look at me!"
side taunt: Points and laughs
down taunt: Jogs in place while saying "I'm runnin circles round ya"

While I don't believe they have high chances of being included, I have two characters I really wish were in SSF2. Prince of Sable and Reimu Hakurei.

Reimu from Touhou Project, being widely well known STG bullet hell/danmaku character. Also a female character from series with over 26 official games and more fangames than you can imagine (also good fangames at that). There's a lot of moveset and appearence potential, both from older PC-98 games (like using Genji the Turtle as recovery), more popular games such as Embodiement of Scarlet Devil or from newer games or fighting games such as Urban Legends in Limbo. A lot of stuff to work with, really

Prince (of Sable) from Japan exclusive Nintendo game 'Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru ("For Frog the Bell Tolls") being the first one. I've played the fan translation of the game and I must say there's huge potential and personality that could be used in that one tiny character. For those who don't know Prince of Sable/Sable is basically a newbie hotheaded prince that can turn into frog (also a snake) as well as use sword, saws, wine and wasabi to paralyze his foes for some reason. While incredibly obscure, there is a lot of potential in this fellow and just like with Chibi-robo, it would be great to see a super forgotten character get some spotlight.

I played a translated version of Sable's game, and it was pretty neat. Gave me the same "oh wow this is a gameboy game" expression when I played DK '94.

But if you're using that logic for Touhou then I counter-suggest The Kid from I Wanna Be the Guy.

Not really. While I do know some 'I wanna be' games can have really good quality, Most of the good Touhou fangames have incredibly high quality and production value just for 'fangames' (Remaking Castlevania twice and doing it better than Konami, having a lot of them sold in Japan for PS4/there's one coming on Switch and some fangames are pretty much perfect replicates of original Touhou style such as Book of Star Mythology) and a lot of devs working on them tend to become later fully fledged devs working for video game corporations. It just shows that there's fanbase who would put money and effort to see more of this character/franchise. Not sure how many of those fans play SSF2, but I imagine there could be some

Besides in Smash it feels like we've got rep from almost every game genre and maybe outside of Kid Icarus Uprising (Pit) we don't really have an STG do we?

And we could get more females. Out of 40 characters we only have like 3 technically. 6 if we count Jiggly, and other form of Zelda/Samus.
Reimu just feels like a perfect match for the roster to me, yet the possibility of her being in SSF2 feels so distant to me.

Though, "more females" doesn't seem like a sound reason to root for a character being included. Variety is okay, but I don't think that variety in terms of whats in your pants is enough to count as variety in terms of Smash characters. Playstyle and difference between others characters is important, and I know Touhou has a "unique" area. The only issue is implementing a moveset however it can be. The same argument can be proposed with genres. Smash Bros. hasn't had a hack-and-slash gorefest character, so bring in that guy from MadWorld, yeah? Makes sense to me, complete the pile.

Just my opinion though, you can root for whoever you want man.

A dedede that is actually viable that has gordo stick from sm4sh but with more safe options and hitboxes that actually exist. But brawl ddd is fine too.


If the sheer possibility exists that ddd may make it into ssf2, please watch soul train's two videos on why sm4sh ddd was terrible, so that ddd can be fixed and still be as fun as he was in sm4sh?
