You need to learn how to make posts that aren't useless (read: do more than just stating the obvious) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Take a moment to analyze the current vote count. First we have the lone vote for UFZ by Brik. Let's go back to the post where Brik voted and the post before it. | | | | Brikawaiidesunoweabo wrote: My take on the Zendaya vs. Geno situation:
Following his interactions with Geno, I was pegging Zendaya as one of two things. Either a townie so excited at the prospect of having found a mafioso that he was unwilling to back off even after the situation had clearly changed, or a mafioso that was so excited at the prospect of scoring an early mislynch that he lost focus of everything else. As time went on I began leaning towards the second option due to the bipolar nature of his posts. It seems that every time Zendaya is called out on his lack of a case, he either backs off immediately or starts nitpicking about one utterly insignificant detail (e.g. you’re scum vs. you’re scummy), only to come back to his baseless accusations with a slightly different twist the next time.
Now, while this behaviour would make sense from a bad scum player, Geno’s third party lyncher theory strikes me as a tad more plausible. Scum don’t really care about who they lynch as a long as it isn’t one of their own, so they usually don’t have any problems backing off from once-viable targets that have since become too risky to pursue. The fact that Zendaya is so bent on taking Geno down even though it makes zero sense to lynch him from the perspective of either major faction seems to indicate that Geno’s death is an explicit part of Zendaya’s win condition. I suppose that he could be a usurper, but Geno’s play thus far has lead me to believe that the good doctor is town.
My usual policy when it comes to lynchers is to keep them alive and treat them as townsfolk as long as they don’t make a nuisance of themselves. If they’re helpful, we thank them by lynching their target before finishing off the last mafioso. This payed off with Kyuubit, so I think it a valid game plan. Admittedly, Kyuubit is a stronger player, and he actually did help the town in that game. I don’t think Zendaya is going to be quite as useful, especially considering the direction his posts have gone these last few pages.
What say you all?
Also, just to make it perfectly clear, the reads implied in this post are as follows: UltimateZendayaFan: 7/10 scum points. Dr. Geno: 3/10 scum points. | | | | |
I'm not sure I understand the bolded part or how you can affirm it as true. In bolded cyan: You go from "I think keeping him alive a valid game plan" to "he might not be useful, what are your opinions?" to voting for him without anyone posting in between. I'd appreciate some clarification regarding your position towards Axel. In bolded green: This is not logical. You have posted very little during the time the game has become "stagnant". If you are not wild about no lynching, you should be aiding us in becoming non-stagnant, not stating your intention to hammer. No lynching earlier than we have to does not help us. Posting does. No Lynch votes: Geno's In bolded cyan: If I interpret this correctly, you are doubtful that TOWK would include a character who appeared in a small number of episodes, so you believe it could be a safe claim. In bolded green: You then say you aren't sure? Unless I am mistaken, you stated your opinion just the sentence before. In bold: This is a fundamental principle of Mafia. All townies know this. I'm nitpicking here, but didn't you just say Axel's claim wasn't believable? Wouldn't it be better to vote for him and see his reaction before dismissing his unbelievable claim and voting no lynch? Nixter's: We won't if we no lynch. Talking will get us further than ending the day prematurely. Shoop's: Again, no one will stick out as scum if you don't try to get them to slip up! No one will slip up if we no lynch. Kyuubit's Kyuubit's no lynch vote is the first reasonable one, he states his reasoning clearly and it's mostly logical. My only issue is that we don't have to no lynch in order to "not waste a lynch on Axel". Axel's Um. Axel, please do things with conviction. Switching things around as often as you do makes you unreadable. If you accuse anyone, they're going to tell you you're wrong, as no one wants to be lynched (except Shoop). 135's Time for what? It is my personal conviction that we have not milked this day for it's full worth. I'd like everyone to analyze the current vote count and give opinions.

I'll respond in full later, since I'm on my phone ATM but:
In me saying " I don't know what to make of it", I meant I wasn't sure if he was being truthful about his role. It's very easy to wiki supporting characters and look for people who have a low episode count, however I'm not sure if axel had the capacity to think of something like that in the first place.
And I think a no lynch would be beneficial because we'll be able to use our powers without having to potentially lynch a town, since at least IMO nobody is truly lynch worthy at this moment. We've used up a lot of day 1, and learned a bit. With our abilities day 2 should be more useful i think.

At first I wasn't too keen on voting No Lynch either. However, then I realized there is no deadline, so we'd probably have to end it ourselves one way or another, and was quite satisfied with things being mostly ironed out (with Axel's claim and all).
First forum game I've played with no set deadlines BTW.
Anyways, Unvote: No Lynch, since it doesn't seem like the Day's about to end now Dj made his post.
Vote: JamesClyde where you at.

My point was that the game wasn't really moving and it seemed like the only things that could happen were Keyblade being lynched or voting no lynch/the deadline running out. But yeah, you can argue that the game isn't moving because we're not moving it.

I honestly am getting a HUGE scum vibe out of this, mainly because while he could have been mistaken about the lack of a deadline, this could also be an easy way to get a free kill for a Maf member. (Or a cheap way to try to cover his vote up) The vote jumping also is pretty suspicious imo. Thoughts?

You know, I think that's the opposite way. Since there IS a deadline, we can take the whole time and exploit it. if we didn't have a deadline (or had a bankable deadline like SSBMafia) I'd be ok with finishing today, but we got some free days we still can exploit, mainly to solve the doubts on DJ Wiz' post.

Tbh, although Arthur is possibly right, I just think he was making a mistake. We all do that every once in a while.

Day 1 gets a second wind, woohoo! Props to DJ, that's the kind of thing I like to see. Will respond in full once I get some real life obligations out of the way. Also, Unvote, no reason to keep it there since it has served its purpose. Pre-post edit: Can we please agree to stop making posts in this vein? Either have an opinion or don't, but don't try to hold two conflicting opinions at once. Axel, do you think 135 made a mistake, or do you think it was a scum slip?
