Name (aka Handle):
DarkSwiftN. (Online: WulfenGale)

How old are you?:
17

Which characters do you play in SSF2? Why do you play these characters? (Note: do not list characters that are not currently in the game):
Mario - Good combo game, great recovery, excels at gimping and has a good projectile. He also can kill really well.

Lloyd - Good aerial game, decent grab game and generally a decent character

Ness - Excellent kill power, decent projectiles, ability to deal with many projectiles and can rack up serious damage with a side-B to D-Throw.

Sora - Excellent recovery, great combo game and can edge-guard extremely well.

Zelda - A character that can be played both defensively and offensively. Great projectile with Din's fire, good recovery and astonishing kill power with her aerials

Marth - Combo game is excellent. Waltz of Swords (Own Technique) can rack up loads of damage and very fast attacks. Recovery isn't too bad either

How much experience do you have with official Smash titles? (SSB64, Melee, Brawl. Include in this answer which characters you play/played.):
I have played Melee, but not seriously. My characters were:
Marth (reasons above)
Ganondorf (beyond godlike power and has decent approach with down-B)
Dr. Mario (Decent kill power and other things, like the pills projectile))
Mewtwo (I like the character A LOT, and I usually have a lower tier main so I can mix things up at times)

I also have played Brawl competitively among friends, my characters were:
Wolf (Godly air game, excellent juggler and has good kill power)
Marth (surprise, surprise)
Ganondorf (Admittedly, he isn't great, but his kill power is still good and you can combo somewhat with flame choke)
Olimar (Stage control freak. Great grabs, amazing kill power and whistlefall effectively guarantees safety for a while)
Pit (Projectile = awesome, good recovery with glide and good air game)
Mr. Game and Watch (The smash attacks are brutal, his recovery is amazing, and he can kill really well)

In Smash 4, which I don't play that much, I main:
Robin (Excellent recovery, arcfire is useful and the HP-steal is amazingly good, albeit difficult to land)

I'm not sure whether it counts here, but I also play Crusade, I main:
Mewtwo (Good aerials, godlike recovery and excellent mobility with wavedash)
Lucas (Decent air game, 0-deaths with PK Paralyze and Offense-Up can lead to insta-KOs if used well :))

Have you ever attended any Smash tournaments? If so, give some details about the tournament (number of participants, which games, etc). How well did you place?
I have played low-key Brawl Tournaments with around 6-8 Friends. I originally placed low in them, however, I mostly end up in Winners finals and occasionally Grand Finals. There were no prizes at all.

When did you start playing SSF2?
Since v0.6a, I mostly stopped due to my computer dying and came back in version 0.9a. My main was Lloyd.

What is your favorite stage in SSF2? Explain.
Tower of Salvation.
The stage allows better options for characters like Zelda and allows her to use the Din's Glide effectively.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed first on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a higher level than all others?
Jigglypuff.
The pink puff's air speed is still ungodly, she can still Wall of Pain extraordinarily well, and she can air combo many characters. She can also rest after a sing at high percents and it's almost unescapable. I've had a LOT of trouble against Jigglypuffs who knew what they were doing and totally fried me for it. This is my reasoning.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed last on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a lower level than all others?
Sonic.
In this version, they completely threw the book at Sonic. His Light Dash barely recovers and even the wolf flash style sweetspot doesn't kill easily and Spring Jump doesn't go very far vertically. Similarly, his attacks have exceptionally high start up (They're "too slow"), to the point where you can't short-hop his back-air and you can easily avoid Bounce attack, causing an SD.
His attacks are easily gimpable/avoidable and he just feels li
I feel Sonic was rightly nerfed, but the change felt too drastic for me.

If you could make only one change to SSF2 as it currently is, what would it be and why?
Adding Wolf O'Donnell as a character. I just love that character and it's better than Falco anyway.
Mechanics-wise, if this is what you're looking for, I'd separate Zelda and Sheik

What is your view on items in competitive play?
I agree with them not being included. It heavily changes the odds of winning, or should I say "tips the scales".

Do you have or can you download Skype? You don't need a mic or webcam.
I don't have Skype, but I may be able to get it.

Why do you want to join the Smash Flash Back Room? What will you contribute? Why are you an exceptional applicant? Be as detailed as possible.
I would like to join the SFBR because I feel I can contribute a lot to the metagames of certain characters, like Marth, Zelda and Mario. I generally have unorthodox methods of play, so I can use this to better determine the accuracy of the tier lists. Furthermore, I have been interested in competitive smash for a while and have even created, with a group, a smash bros 4 tier list, and I keep discovering techniques for certain characters. (I discovered (and posted on McLeod Gaming wiki after finding out about) Sora's pseudo-wavedash)

Additional information (Include in this section anything relevant to your application. This could include links to videos of yourself playing.)
I will be adding this soon.

Use this list to answer the following questions.
Stage List: show
Starter:

Battlefield
Final Destination/Nintendo 3DS (both stages can be stricken at once)
Stadium III
WarioWare
Yoshi's Story

Counterpick:

Dreamland
Smashville
Jungle Hijinx
Mirror Chamber
Tower of Salvation
Castle Siege
Dracula's Castle
Sky Sanctuary Zone

1. From the Stage List provided, state which is best for Jigglypuff. Give reasons why you think so.

2. From the Stage List provided, determine which stage is the most likely to be played in game 1 between a Marth and a Peach. If you don't know, each player strikes 2 stages from the neutral list, and the remaining stage is what is played on. Please also give a brief explanation of your reasoning for each strike.

Please be thoughtful and detailed in your responses.

EDIT: I really badly misread it so this probably won't help my application any!
The 2nd Question has been

1.
From what I have noticed against Jigglypuff players who do extraordinarily well, they thrive best on stages that have platforms in order to abuse the Puff's insane air game. As such, the one that would be most advantageous to Jigglypuff would almost certainly be Tower of Salvation due to the platforms themselves being away from the main stage. This would allow Jigglypuff to keep itself in the air and still have an easier time recovering if it is knocked off the stage. Similarly, it would, using it's air speed, be able to cover the stage and be able to stall out characters with short ranges if they try and attack with aerials.
I also find that Jigglypuff functions well on stages with platforms, similarly to Battlefield for similar reasons.

2.
Marth and Peach. What a fun match-up...
Peach relies on her turnips. Marth would need to have a stage where Peach can't easily access her turnips, or where he can intercept her attempts at using her vegetable easily, as Marth's speed can lead to a punish for this.
Marth can take advantage of Peach's lightweight to get a KO on her easily, provided he can create distance between her.

A Peach player would most likely strike Yoshi's Story, as the stage would leave her open when pulling turnips out and victim to Marth's speed on ground and air due to the platforms. Similarly, WarioWare would allow Marth's tippers to become easier due to how small the stage is.

A Marth player would most likely strike, (this is my stage of choice to strike), 3DS. Peach's dash attack, and vegetables could pose a big threat in an environment in the open, and some Peach users can go under that stage and cause problems for Marth.
Similarly, Final Destination and Stadium 2 have bigger advantages for Peach than Marth

So, for a Game 1, ideally, the stage that would fit both players would be Battlefield. It has the space for Marth's air game and Peach's veggies. This makes for an even stage.
These are my thoughts.

Even though this sort of bumps it, I'd just like to say that I thank you the time taken to consider this application and I know that you are kind of drowning in applications.

You guys are awesome. (And no, I'm not trying to flatter you to get in ;) )

Made some edits to the app, just so you are aware.

Thank you for applying to the Back Room. Unfortunately, your app was denied. Feel free to apply after the next update has been released.

Sorry about the late response (thought I already responded to it, but whatever).
