I am a Marth main, but I struggle with recovery, as many others do.

Mainly his vertical recovery gets me. Using Shield Breaker or Sword Dance for vertical recovery is fine for me, but knowing when to sweet spot the ledge or how much momentum my up special has gets to me so their is that problem. I would recommend just practicing on sweet spotting the ledge on every stage to get the hang of it or to surprise your opponents.

it's actually coded as a spike, but the spike hitstun is soooo low that it allows the other dude to get out of the stun veeeery shortly after.

Marth should play more like his Smash 4 counterpart.

dunno, I didn't do it lol it's just the way it's coded. spikes are sort of a game-changing element because they almost guarantee death when performed, and so adding a surplus of them to SSF2 will probably change things a lot in how the game is played for the characters that receive them, let alone how it'll affect characters that don't have them. the whole concept is floating around, but it isn't forgotten... Just a touchy thing to deal with currently in terms of whether or not it should be fully implemented, I'd assume.

idk atm marth can't really kill from a combo, cause reverse upB is impossible to sweetspot after a fair or w/e and dair is kinda bad so a playstyle of damage racking until something like tipper bair or uair kills is better - slows down the game a bit imo

not my call whether or not it get added to the game lol ༼•͟ ͜ •༽ and marth's up-B work differently in SSF2 than it has in official titles. pretty sure in this game it has the tipper mechanic, o it's stronger if you hi someone with the outer portion of the sword for the up-B rather than getting that sweet-spot at marth's feet when he moves the sword. probably the reason why it acts as a good get-out-of-presure "free" tool

+1 for nick cage I should have said bad compared to other games (maylay) the spike is harder to hit/combo into and has less hitstun

Lol. Sm4sh Marth is pretty bad. Making SSF2 Marth like Sm4sh Marth would pretty much be an uber-nerf.

best dashdance in the game imo fast, large hitboxes out of any part of the dash huge grab great dash/run speed shortened hitbox when dashing
I think marth players need to stop trying to space/slow the game down and stay grounded dashdancing is the future imo
thoughts?
