Lucario's looking pretty good so far. I'm still waiting for the update to come out though. It's not easy to keep your cool when an update's taking too long to complete.

I remember the days of wen beta, patience is my middle name though.

Good thing SSF2 has Anime characters, so we can finally have Lucario vs Goku.

Who are next? Greninja vs Naruto? Breloom vs Luffy? Only the future will tell us.

Even though she didn't start out as an anime character, I'm probably placing my bets on Rera vs. Kirby. Rera basically started out as a palette swap for Nakoruru in Samurai Shodown 64-2, who then appeared in the 1999 two part anime film Samurai Spirits 2: Asura-Zanmaden. This version of Nakoruru was so popular with the fans that she was made into her own character in 2003's Samurai Shodown V, and was named (as you might've guessed) Rera. She later appeared in Samurai Shodown V Special and Samurai Shodown VI.

I'm probably starting to think I'm in love with Nakoruru's bloodthirsty alter-ego, because she looks so darn cute in the anime, in-game, and especially her artwork. I mean, just LOOK at her! Isn't she freaking cute?

And btw, he is sooo clean in this game, I love Lucario's side b spike and his aura in this beta.
Lucario, Ryu and Krystal are just amazing.

Yeah, unlike other smash games, this Lucario is having a great time at pressuring his opponennts, just look at bair and uair killing over 90 perecent with moderated aura, also the juggling is very useful for an amount of combos though.

Damn, Lucario is amazing.
The new Down-B is decent, but his Aura Sphere is insanely fast, he has good combos, and his aura is really good in this, like Sm4sh Aura.
This Lucario is a monstrosity.
Easily a really good character.

The majority of the community are saying by all of their glare flare that Lucario is easily a top tier, I still got my doubts that these thoughts on them are true, but looking at him, he could really be more than a strong and mainly character so far.

He can absolutely overwhelm you at low percent with his normals, and when he gets to high aura, he becomes really bloody powerful. Not to mention his recovery auto snaps to the ledge as well. Only real weaknesses is he can get gimped at low percents but he’s still hella good

the charging Aura sphere might actually be amazing for shield pressure, its constant multihit makes it near impossible to punish Lucario when charging on top of the opponent's shield, it's pretty much a 50/50 on whether they trade or get sucked into the vortex of pain.



Of course, it only gets better with higher aura, in which it actually becomes practically impossible to escape unless you are very good at shield SDI

I also thought quickly that I'm gonna take advantage in doubles, (if I and my other partner choose Lucario) to pin down the opponent using the aura sphere salty method. It basically functions at every single time you use it.
