i think this is a good thing; it'll keep minors from partaking in its use (somewhat)

it at least keeps children and teens from drinking in public and at events and s*** because theyll get hella arrested it won't completely remove underage marijuana use like underage drinking isnt completely fictional now, but i think it'll at least help a bit

I think that after that, our neightbours will have less illegal drug traffic, to be honest. We also should do that, the narcotraffic here is so gigantic.
and it's not like marijuana would be that bad

the US will make it legal eventually, it's just a matter of when they'll finally give in
there's not much bad that'll come from legalizing pot, so i think they'll give in soon

A couple of states did already, didn't they? But since it's illegal on a federal level that didn't actually change anything, right? I can't recall how exactly that went down
You're probably right that it's only a matter of time though

yeah, in Colorado and Washington it's supposedly legal for any use; California along with a few others are legal too, but only for medicinal use; then they have states where you can sell marijuana over the counter, but can't legally possess it??
the whole situation is pretty dumb really

I don't know... It's outlawed for a reason. Everytime someone says pot is harmless, I think of a friend of mine when he decides to get baked. Uncontrollable laughing fits (he even says he has no idea why he's laughing), he can't make snap decisions easily, or if he does, they're utterly stupid or random. Doesn't help that most of the time I talk to him, we're trying to play a teamwork based strategy game.
Personally, I don't want people around me, on the roads, in the workplace, getting high as a kite legally. Even if they're only half as bad as my friend, it's still bad...

In SSF2 I main: Black Mage, Goku, Ichigo, and Mario. I'm also not terrible at Megaman and Fox.

Think of it like drinking. If it were legalized it would probably still be illegal to do it in public, or to drive while high.

Since it's the first country to have it legalized it is pretty much an experiment for other countries

how about those smartshops? dunno how that goes in your countries, but in portugal they are selling "seeds" and "plant powder" for prices about 30€ a kilo. sounds suspicious. also their name: "magic mushroom", or "blazing flower". these are all hallucinogenic compounds, that are based on soft drugs, BUT, since they are not exactly drugs, you cant legaly prohibit them. imagine: cocaine is forbidden. so what do they do? they grab the cocaine's molecule, and had another atom or two. it is no longer "cocaine", but it still has its properties. altough everyone kows whats going on; there have been even deaths and brain-damaged youngster thanks to it. also, since these are modified substances, these were never tested on humans before; god knows how people can react to them, there have been allergic reactions and internal bleedings with these.
