Name (aka Handle): RedSP/Red/Enigma Delta/Salty Eclair.

How old are you?: 17 years of age.

Which characters do you play in SSF2? Why do you play these characters? (Note: do not list characters that are not currently in the game): I play Lloyd Irving/Ness and secondary Bomberman. My main reason for playing Lloyd Irving is because my first RPG and first Tales Series game happened to be Tales of Symphonia for the Nintendo GameCube when I was around 8-10 (I personally don't remember). Lloyd Irving's personality was often joked due to his slowness or gullibility in understanding some scientific concepts. But what makes me enjoy the character for who he is, is for his ideals as they grew in the game from his interactions with the other characters and the really corny Dwarven Vows. My personal favorite was Dwarven Vow #10: Play hard, play often. This vow is actually pretty unique to my enthusiasm for playing fighting games. I main Ness due to (and admittedly) his design in SSBB. I just liked the sort of idea that there was a character in a Nintendo game who wore his cap to the side and had his own stash of utility tools in his backpack. To further appreciate my Smash main, I did play Earthbound but did not complete it to this day due to school studies and other really stupid preoccupations. I also main Ness to carry on the torch for my mentor, Yink on Smash Boards. She was very genuine enough to show me the ropes of Ness in Brawl which later transferred into my Project:Melee play. For the the regards of the characters and their overall gifts in SSF2, I played Lloyd long before the artes magic series was implemented. This import magic series reminded me of the magic series invented by the PMBR for Lucario in P:M except with Lloyd is was certainly specific on his move aersenal. Currently in this build the magic series has been removed (and was confirmed to have been some reset in values of attacks) by if I recall correctly, 135. As for Ness, I enjoy using him here because it's a less painful memory of what I had to deal with in Brawl w/ grab releases, chain-grabs, etc. Overall he feels the same as a player of the character and I enjoy using him. I secondary Bomberman because I enjoy his character and his overall quirky feeling. I remember growing up playing Bomberman Hero on the N64 when my mom enrolled me in KinderCare daycare services. I also played Bomberman Generations and bought Bomberman Jetters (last boss is a b**** to beat, idk), Bomberman DS and bought Bomberman Blast for the Wii. I feel like I need to play more of the gems for each of the respective characters and potential successors to really feel where the games started and went. I feel like I would appreciate my characters better this way and play more effectively with them in regards to more heart over science. I personally believe this would make me a better player overall, including the experience of PvP and tournaments.

How much experience do you have with official Smash titles? (SSB64, Melee, Brawl. Include in this answer which characters you play/played.): I've played all the Smash games. The one I would like to say I have the most experience of playing is probably Brawl. My main in Brawl was (obviously) Ness, but I did carry secondaries: Link & Mario. Over the course of the year, I've been playing a bit more of Melee and P:M. My mains in Melee: Mario/Mewtwo/Roy and secondaries: Ness. My mains in P:M: Ness/Lucas/Tink and secondaries: ZSS and a little hint of Peach. I could probably play the entire roster without too much difficulty either. For SSB64, I only played so much of it when I got my controller to sync up to the PC. I used Ness while transitioning in and it's really diverse from all the other titles mentioned.

Have you ever attended any Smash tournaments? If so, give some details about the tournament (number of participants, which games, etc). How well did you place?
I'm afraid not. I know of my scene but the biggest issue about attending my locals are the transportation and the money itself. Both of which I'm going to sort out soon enough since it's my last year of high school. ;D

When did you start playing SSF2?
I believe I started playing SSF2 around Demo 0.3. It could have been earlier personally, but I've been playing this game so long and have been discussing and working among the community for a while now in diverse ways that I'm not even sure if I can keep up with times anymore, lol. I do promise however that if I am accepted, I will create and manage time for the BR so that I won't waste the time of other fellow BR members.

What is your favorite stage in SSF2? Explain.
My favorite stage is SV because unlike some other cancerous games I play, the balloon isn't on the stage for me to f*** worry about it gimping me. On a serious note, my favorite stage is actually Galaxy Tours. I enjoyed the stage design and feeling back when I was a frequent of this game. I also personally enjoyed the first SMG, so that was already a pleasure on its own. I'm pretty sure this stage was leaning towards a CP/Ban, for very accountable reasons involving the stage ratio and the design of the overall stage. Simply put, it also promoted camping/stalling to certain degrees. If I had to choose a legal stage, I would go with Tower of Salvation.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed first on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a higher level than all others?
In all honesty, I would have to say Bomberman. As gimmicky as he felt when I first played as him, I felt like he had the potential to be an excellent character. Though I know I probably won't play him proficiently as others, I still think that with the right person provided that the potential is shown can prove to be one of the best if not the best in this game. I personally think that his character design is quirky, like he is displayed in his own games. He is one of the few characters that actually feels like in the same essence able to produce or paint a visual image stage control as opposed to literally. His special moves do impact from his neutral special, and the placement can always be adjusted when need be. When he dies, unlike Snake in Brawl/P:M, his bombs do not auto detonate or reset when this occurs. This is a wonderful gift to maintain because it gives him less time to prepare bombs to be laid on the field or used immediately. His vertical recovery is undoubtedly amazing. The start-up of the move is quite brief, but when the move actually does its part it's just astounding how well it does in that aspect. Horizontal wise, the move is quite a fair trade I would say. Certainly exceptional in one direction, but in another it's shown in what I would believe to be an equally fair representation of the move. His moveset kit aside from specials are very well-rounded and there was a hint of influence in some of these moves (i.e. u-air animation resembles that of Lucas). He has a little more to work with, but getting around that does take a lot of time, I can tell. I don't even feel comfortable using Bomberman quite yet, but I'm starting to get more of a feel for him.

Who, in your opinion, should be placed last on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a lower level than all others?
I feel like this question will come out in a bit of bias or neglecting of other characters in the roster. My opinion remains indifferent for the viewing of a worst character. I were to really choose, it would be the characters who feel really janky/gimmicky in their design (i.e. Sonic, Yoshi, and potentially Zelda and Jigglypuff). I do use these characters on various occasions for personal enjoyment and flourishing a bit of curiosity into the game once again. Of course I feel like I haven't witnessed enough or have seen the metagame develop for quite some time (absence from SSF2 play in general), so a lot of this is either coming from what I've read about other people and what they feel is a general input in statement and what I've tested to see for myself in appliance to the data. I feel of course the game will shape up if online play ever comes around, but alas we'll have to wait and see if that comes around.

If you could make only one change to SSF2 as it currently is, what would it be and why?
Probably the interface of the DT-Dash and the A-Dash. I currently use the A-Dash due to the way the dash dancing was coded to resemble that of a smash game. With DT-Dash, I feel hindered in movement for some characters and it overall slows down my momentum. If possible if there was some way to find a middle ground for that, it would be pretty cool. Then again, most middle ground anything usually turns up to be really bad so I'm not quite sure if I would want something in the middle either.

What is your view on items in competitive play?
This should be a no-brainer. Items are simply RNG. You cannot control where they appear or what item does appear, without sufficient modification to the ruleset before the game. It's also an unfair and uncountable advantage to the opponent if a mishap were to happen. Most pros personally wouldn't be scared to play with items on. I feel like that's not the point of this question. We play without items on because of the fact that they are RNG. Let's face it: no one likes a bomb spontaneously appearing right beside them only to exclaim at the amount of luck and s*** that was for you to win a match only because a BOMB of all things took you out instead of the person you were competing against. Sudden Death is out-ruled in this question because if you timed your opponent out, you probably deserve to get your a** blown up to begin with (loljk). It's to secure that the match ends with a victor hence the rebound opportunity.

Do you have or can you download Skype? You don't need a mic or webcam.
I have Skype. My Skype name is SaltyDickEclairLove69 I mean,
specialpowerofenigmadelta. I can talk/webcam if needed to.

Why do you want to join the Smash Flash Back Room? What will you contribute? Why are you an exceptional applicant? Be as detailed as possible.
I was in it before, but I took a personal hiatus from anything involving SSF2 to work on personal studies in various applications revolving around my career field. It was also a personal leave to train in my smash skills, outside of this game due to my interest in the game slowly dying. I feel a bit more enthusiastic to play again and learn more about the other characters I'm not familiar with, while talking among the other members about the metagame and providing personal feedback and personally being a bit more useful around these parts again.

Additional information (Include in this section anything relevant to your application. This could include links to videos of yourself playing.)
Note: The video posted is gameplay of P:M, but it was posted to show that I'm a frequent player of smash overall. Apologies for no content uploaded of myself for SSF2, but I think I emphasized that enough already, lol.

-- I worked with a friend of mine on a promotional combo video for our group of friends, the Soul Smashers. We've been submitting replays to him for the production, but he eventually made them separate projects due to the lack of submitting from the other members. If you have time, feel free to check it out here. Enjoy~!

There was only one Red in the old BR, lol.

My smash name is more known as RedSP, so I tend to usher it around when talking about anything smash related that involves identification.

OK, follow-up question.

Rank the following characters from best to worst:

Sonic, Yoshi, Zelda, and Jigglypuff

Also state what Tier you'd put the first and last characters on your list.

Feel free to take your time and test the characters out a bit.

I'm wondering how to go about this considering the application was for the previous version. My opinion of characters have actually changed since my application was made.

You would really only need to change who you think are top/bottom-tier to fit the changes of v0.9b.

Go over in detail the three characters that you believe would be at the top of the tier; and three characters that would be suited at the bottom of the tier-list.
