Clone characters take farrrrr less time than a unique one.

Sakurai said that he chose to do ALL of the clone characters in Melee instead of finishing Dedede. Melee has Doc, Pichu, Roy, Falco, Young Link, and Ganondorf (not sure if he was including ylink though). They obviously wouldn't put in a clone character if they took the same development resources as a non-clone. Don't be silly.

Sakurai talks about Ice Climbers. Doesn't really say anything that wasn't already implied. Still pretty sad though.

I did fix something. There is no (mostly) unsexualized for Lucina. If you've actually played Awakening, you'd know that there is no where in the game where she is sexualized. The only people sexualizing her are the Rule 34 artists.


I like it too, although it would be easier to understand once we actually see it.

I don't need proof, Dark Pit being a clone of Pit clearly took a significantly smaller amount of time to make than a unique newcomer. Think of the clones like bonus characters. They aren't replacing your dream newcomer.

While I do see the reason why Dark Pit was added into the game, I personally would have chosen Ninten to get the extra slot if there was one. While Lucas represented the finale to the Mother series in Brawl, Ninten could've represent the first game in the series, and would've (presumably) taken less time to model because of how similar he looks like Ness. This also would make sense because Magicant is being introduced into the series as a stage.

of course, i may just a biased earthbound fan so that could be it too
