Nah, but it would make it less of a celebration of Nintendo and more "Nintendo featuring Cloud" I felt Brawl did the same thing with Metal Gear, but it's more forgivable if there's only one |

That would be the case if it was just a fighting game, but it isn't. It never has been. It's a fighting game as well as a celebration of Nintendo.
Cloud only works in one of those situations |

Because the only thing that Mugen fighters have in common is that they are fighters, which is the same reason you gave as to why Cloud could be in Smash. The characters in Smash actually do have things in common, with the exception of Snake and Sonic, although Sega and Konami are in close relationship with them anyway. Im sure Squeenix may be as well, but im not sure they are as close. But whatever their relation, Cloud was still never in a Final Fantasy title on a Nintendo system other than Theatrhythm which is on 3DS. As i said, its a lousy reason to have Cloud specifically. mugen is a bunch of s*** who can't use hitboxes putting tv show characters like peter griffin into a bad fighter

Mugen is an open source engine. If you want a real fighter out of it find a complete game used with it instead of just randomly piling guys on. |
