It'd be a mistake to NOT include new dlc info in the E3 direct itself. Why? Because people who aren't blind nintendo fanboys also tune into their E3 presentation to see what they're up to. If there's absolutely no smash news in the E3 direct then that's a huge missed opportunity to catch people's eye.

Like I said before. They only directly said he'd be covering the 3 features that will be available on Sunday. There COULD be something more, but it'd be a bad decision to show new hype worthy stuff outside the E3 event itself.

maybe they will showcase something new but I really doubt we will get any new fighters in this direct.

Personally I think Roy would be a waste of a character slot, why would I want another semi-clone of Marth, Lucina's gameplay reminds me of Roy's anyway.

I really hope they don't make Ryu like Little Mac, as in, he's tough as f***,but if you get him offstage hes like an anchor cause lets face it. He's going to be a heavy character.

I hate Roy. The only people who want him back are the ones who only played Melee and never actually played his game. If Lucina wasn't in the game I'd understand why people would want him, but as things are? No.

If they add another Fire Emblem character, it need to be someone without a sword. Hector, Ephraim, hell, one of the mounted units. That'd a really neat and unique character.

As for Ryu, I'm not asking for him to be added but I won't mind if he is. Many people (myself included) have fond memories of playing Street Fighter II and Alpha 2 on the SNES. He honestly deserves to be in the game more than Pac-Man does when it comes to being Nintendo-related.

He's usually a pretty boring character, but I think it'd be interesting to see his moveset in Smash Bros. compared to how it is in real different fighting games.

There's people I want in much more than him, but I definitely won't be complaining if he is added.

As much as I like Roy, not only do we have a Roy, they'd need to pull something really good out for Roy, possibly a full moveset change, to put him back. I know Sakurai's view of clones is that "they're a free extra character", but a cloned Roy would be a waste of a a DLC spot.

I have to say I am looking forward to Ryu. Finally him and Luigi can have a contest: Who can shoryuken the most opponents.

As for the Icies. I'd like to see at least one return.

if by "we have a Roy" you mean "we have a Marth clone" then yeah but they're different Marth clones.
i'm not arguing for (or even against) Roy, but saying Lucina = Roy in terms of how they work is wrong
