God I wish my parents did this

It wasn't so much as my grandparents were "s***" as they were just really old fashioned

My parents kind of cling to those old ways (more so my mother) and refuse to let go, so I'll have to be that guy to break the cycle

My childhood had it's ups and downs. My parents weren't really all that good at parenting at first but my mom had some issues with depression and blah blah so whatever, all things considered, my life was good. We were just above middle class so we never really had any hard times, I had tons of toys, several video game consoles and we'd go to bowling every now and again, go play laser tag, to the movies, etc. We went to Disney Land so many times I lost count, we also went to Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags, pfft, you name it. After my little sister was born and my parents started saving money to build our current house here in Mexico, we kinda cut back on those things but we'd still go. Really I'd say the only bad things about my childhood where the first 7 years of my life when my mom used to flip her s*** about everything and yell at/hit me. That and, certain sexual experiences I had which are probably the cause of me being a pervert nowadays... but oh well, I turned out okay.
