Wii U is Nintendo's sixth home console, and is the successor to Wii. The Wii U also features a new controller, called the GamePad, with an embedded touchscreen. The controller allows a player to continue playing certain games by displaying the game even when the television is off. If the GamePad is not your taste, Nintendo has an alternative for that called the "Pro Controller", which is a more traditional game controller for the more dedicated, and deeper gaming experiences. It features two analog sticks, and is designed similar to that of the Xbox 360 controller.

Note: The system will be backwards compatible with Wii, and Wii U games can support compatibility with Wii peripherals, such as the Wii Remote Plus and the Nunchuk. However, unlike the Wii, the Wii U will not be backwards compatible with physical Nintendo GameCube media or peripherals

The only game I'm really playing on the Wii now is Monster Hunters Tri and Ogre Battle 64, not really interested in any of the Nintendo series anymore.

Mabey it's because I'm a Nintendo Fan boy but I'm pumped for this new nintendo system. I'm sure you'll get excited when 720, and PS4 is announced!

They said it wasn't going to be a gimmick this time, they were steering back towards mainstream.
I'm interested, to say the least. I did really love Nintendo before they went mecha casual-mode engage, but they've done well with the 3DS, and if they don't f*** this up, they may be able to redeem themselves.

and wii 2? no way... the wii droped off the face of the earth when PlayStation move, and xbox kinect came out. and guess what new Nintendo game counsel means...

Why can't they call it their new system 'Revolution', sounds waaaay better then Wii in anyway. Aside from that, I hope the games will have improved graphics this time because the Wii's was like Gamecube graphics. If there's going to be a new Smash Bros. then it better have DLC or something.

I'm still a Nintendo fan, but most of their games on the Wii haven't gotten my attention lately. Which is why I hope they improve themselves.

Just so you guys know, none of this have been confirmed by Nintendo, it's all rumors at the moment.

Though if it does mean a new high-def Smash Bros with DLC then I am excite.

They've been hinting at it for quite a long time now, and THQ let it slip a while ago.

Since there is going to be a new Smash Bros. I highly doubt there is going to be Smash Flash 3, ecspecially since the devs aren't even done with SSF2.

Personally, I want less motion control, I don't mind them keeping it, but make it more of an extra.

I know it wont happen though, too much of a money spinner.
