I noticed the system you people use for these forums. If someone disobeys a rule they will be warned, if they do it continually they will receive more warnings and later be banned. This is also how it works on Wikipedia. But there's another thing that this site lacks, it's called a block (or MG terms, banned) request or appeal. This feature enables the blocked user to appeal the block if they think they didn't deserve it. If the excuse is sensible enough, Wikipedia admins will consider by either shortening your block or simply taking it off. If not, admins can reject, or even ignore it. The amount of times you can ask is limited, you will be blocked from doing this till your block state is over. This can be a pretty useful system to use here. Please consider.

I noticed the term "ban" is used here unlike the term "block" used on most wiki sites. This makes the term less expandable since people on wikis use the word "ban" as a permanent block term. Another thing to consider.

I think this is a useless idea, really. You're only perma'd if you really deserve it. And if you're banned and you don't think you should have been, you'll live if you have to wait three days.

I mean, there was no reason to bash Nu there, considering he can't ban. So blitz was just bashing for no reason.

Also, just because he's a bad mod by some standards, doesn't mean he can't get better.

How would a user appeal? Through e-mail to Cleod? =P Seriously, unless some coding to the phpBB forums can take place, I don't think this would work.

Maybe, if you are blocked, you're moved into a blocked-user usergroup, and you can only post in an appeal forum thread.

My own idea was the blocked person can PM any mod, site admin and appeal. But that idea works.

Is there any need to even curse here? Stop being a troll.

Anyway, this is a pretty good idea, in case certain mods decide to pull some s***, or you're given a really dumb warning.
