Every one of us have mains, right?

This little topic shall be about how all of us started using our mains in SSF2. You can include your previous mains, current ones, and secondaries if you want to.

: The first time I play SSF2 (demo v0.7 at that time), the first character I played is Mario, cuz i'm a mario fan back then.
I found myself to be pretty decent with him. Since then, the red plumber has become my main.

This is where I should've put that whole story I wrote in the forum.

Essentially, I just pick my mains whenever Izaw creates an "Art of" video on them.
Unless it's , ,or . I picked up those on my own.

They're fun to play as.

- All he does is move, swing his sword, and grab. He's so simple yet so expressive.

0.9b - ZSS because she was soooooooo good.
Beta - Falco for the multishine shield breaks. Also because dair.

- Bleach was my childhood animu and it just so happens that I'm kinda decent with him
- Never really got into KH but his Beta overhaul made him one of my faves to use
- Mainly because I love their franchises, but I guess I'm not too bad at using them either

I like trying out all the cool characters in the game and learning to use them all well instead of sticking to a few characters just because they're better.
So, I main Random Button. (Technically. I don't like too many color swaps so I point at the screen with my eyes closed.)

My first real main was Kirby in 0.9b, I also played a decent Link and quite a bit of Marth. Kirby really clicked with me because of his playstyle, all the SD kills, and his stronger moves. Bair and Hammer were so good, I also was really good at keeping up shenanigans with Kirby and just waiting for the opponent to get tired and mess up. I played Link to deal with Marths, Narutos, and Zeldas. I played Marth because he was fun.

Then Beta dropped, and I dropped Kirby, his Bair was nerfed, his reverse hitbox on hammer was removed, his dash attack was nerfed, and his fair was nerfed. All of those things were things I relied on in 0.9b, so Kirby is more of a 4th string now. When Beta came out, I decided to main Isaac, he was really fun to play, and I had a good idea of how to play him. Eventually I kinda dropped Isaac down to secondary, and now he sits on the bench as a 3rd string. I have settled on maining Bowser now. Other characters I play a lot of now and am thinking about making secondary include: Sheik (because Bouncing Fish is my favorite move in the game, it looks so cool and is so much fun to connect), DK (because he's free), Marth (because sword), and Luigi (because so much fun and so many shenanigans)

I love Wario Land and the Shoulder Bash is my favorite move in videogame history. Mained him in Brawl, mained him in PM, main him here. f*** Sakurai for replacing his awesome brawl FSmash for his awful Sm4sh one
