Yup, a lot better than the underwhelming fire stream he has in the official games. I think the one he uses here is one of his custom moves in Smash 4.

About that... It seemed like sometimes Bowser had the normal Fire Breath, and at others it functioned like SSB4 Bowser's Fire Shot custom. Sometimes it was the stream, others it was a projectile. What's up with that?  _________________  Stay groovy, wherever your travels take you.

Or maybe they loaded different versions of 'SSC beta' which had different versions of it. They did say that they were updating it in real time at the event.

On a more serious note, I hope they keep that "Fire Shot" special. It would really help Bowser's neutral, pressure, and possibly approach game.

Maybe if you pressed the button lightly you get the fireball and if you hold it you get the fire stream?
