A few days ago I took some extreme measures to help prevent more bots, so hopefully it has some effect
My guess is that the server was getting choked up at some point
It may be that an IP you use was banned, but either A) your IP happened to change after logging in or B) your username has been added as an exception to that ban. (Send me an email if the problem continues)

That I can't do anything about sorry. The forums didn't agree with the database, so I suspect some data was cut mid-transmission at a bad time

I think the forums should at least run a little faster now. The PM'ing is weird. When you type quickly, the smilies stop moving and your text doesn't show until you stop typing. Except the cursor still moves.
