Yea i got the demo. It's pretty... strange... Mostly the default control scheme:

Triangle = Low
Square = Medium
X = High
Circle = Ability
R1 = Environment Attack
L1 = Grab
L2 + R2 = Super move
Block = Move backwards

Isn't that a very odd default control scheme especially for someone who's trying to get right into the gameplay? It's kind of flipping around the controls that we were accustomed to.

I'm not gonna get into all garbage talk and stuff but this isn't a game i would see myself being happy with. It's not a button mashing game but a very complicated one at that.

So i played the Injustice: Gods Among Us demo a couple of times (Btw, it doesn't allow you to change the control scheme in the demo so... Damn...). Here's my opinions on each character:

Batman - Both the most recognized and better character in the demo... Mostly because he's the most balanced and easy to use character. He's got that annoying grapple gun that acts like Scorpion's spear but is also anti-air and that slide kick take down attack like Scorpion's. His combos easily flow from one to another. The only confusing thing though was that instead of a Low, Medium, and High: He has two medium attacks and a high attack.

His unique ability is to call three mechanical bats that he can send one by one, shoot all at once or act like a shield that damages for a short time [Only works if you have all three bats]

Wonder Woman - Probably the one i have trouble with the most. Not looking into the moveset and getting right into the action, Her combos were hard to find out. She can use her lasso of truth (Which acts like a short-ranged version of Batman's grapple gun) and toss a shield which acts like a normal projectile and not something like Captain America's shield.

Her unique ability is to Switch between a lasso that (has a little bit of extra range and some good specials. Changes Wonder Woman's attacks to be balanced) and a Sword and Shield (gives her aggressive attacks but doesn't have good specials)

Lex Luthor: The heavy fighter of the entire group. Lex's tools are very unique and fun to play with. He has a projectile blaster which can shoot basic projectiles or a charged frontal blast with a short radius. His basic attacks are heavy and his ranged attacks are very diverse. He can also combo pretty well.

His Unique ability is to Summon a small defense shield which prevents damage stun and knockback for a short time

Doomsday: Right when you get into the arcade, you'll see him right at the introduction of the Injustice Arcade ladder. When you get to him, he's not cheap in terms of overall playstyle but in his unique ability which is to Grow what appears to be an armor fully made of Kryptonite. Prevents damage stun and knockback. However, unlike Lex Luthor's ability: You have to chip it off him by attacking him multiple times.

Doomsday is not playable in the demo... He can only be seen by encountering him at the end of the arcade ladder.

I don't think it's really neccesary to spoiler out the special abilities. They are a part of the gameplay and not unlockables or anything.

Batman is the best of the 3 of course, but Wonder Woman is much better at combos and Lex has that overpowered air X attack.

Um... iOS version anyone?

Yep... You read it right. There is an Iphone version of Injustice Gods Among Us available right now on the app store. It has two bonuses you might be interested in if you have to own an Iphone and give this one a try:

-It's completely free so you don't have to pay a dime for it
-If you own both the console version (when it gets released) and this app, you can unlock skins/costumes for the console version by completing certain achievements on the iOS version.

It's a 3 versus 3 fighting game app. If you want something to waste time and unlock free content for the console version of the game when it comes out, give this one a try.

Yeah, batman is awesome with his medium and heavy attacks, and his combos
are easier to do.

Played the iOs version. Most interesting thing about it is that it opens with a Lex Luthor quote regarding the multiverse
It's looking like it's going to take up more and more of the plot

Gamingcapacity.com has released a full list of trait/iconic attacks players can use by pressing the Circle/B button.

Here are the list of traits from each character, except for Ares, Killer Frost, and probably another character.

GamingCapacity.Com wrote:

Superman: his character trait is the ability to absorb energy from Earth’s sun. Using Superman’s character trait gives him a temporary stat boost of power. Superman can also dash either forward or backward while in the air.

Wonder Woman: her character trait is the ability to switch weapons from a Sword and Shield to the Lasso of Truth.

-Both weapons enable her to use exclusive special moves depending on which weapon she is using.

-Certain moves can be stance cancelled for new combo opportunities.

-In her Sword and Shield stance, Wonder Woman takes less chip damage on block.

Batman: His character trait is the ability to call three robotic bats to swarm around him. These bats can be used in two ways; an offensive and a defensive way

-The offensive way allows Batman to shoot one robotic bat at a time without performing an animation, this allows for new combo opportunities, additional damage and pressure on the opponent.

-The defensive way puts Batman in a parrying stance and makes all the bats swarm around him, all physical attacks dealt to Batman in this state will be countered by launching the opponent in to the air and enables Batman to follow up with a juggle combo.

Green Lantern: his character trait is the ability to charge up his ring, granting him additional damage for a limited time.

The Flash: his character trait is the ability to slow down the opponent as if The Flash was moving super fast. It enables him to perform combos that weren’t previously possible and also allows him to easily dodge attacks from his opponent.

Hawkgirl: Hawkgirl’s moveset involves her mace. She is able to hit her opponent with the mace on the ground, and in the air. Her wings also allow her to remain suspended in the air for a brief period of time.

Shazam: character trait is the ability to call forth power from The Wizard, which gives him a temporary stat boost of power.

Solomon Grundy: character trait is a throw that can be linked with multiple other throws. Up to 3 types of throws can be chained into, each granting him a special ability, such as regenerating health, giving him a temporary power boost or even buffing his defense for a limited amount of time.

Lex Luthor: is able to summon a force field for a short period of time, protecting him from attacks

Nightwing: his character trait is the ability to change his weapon from Escrima Sticks to a Staff. This helps him deal with a large amount of situations and get an edge over power users.

-Escrima Sticks allow Nightwing to walk, dash and jump faster and farther for the cost of attack range.

-Using the Staff fighting style increases the range of Nightwing’s attacks at the cost of mobility.

-Certain moves can be stance cancelled for new combo opportunities.

Joker: his trait is a high and low parry. When you hit successful it gives you a “ha”, each “ha” improves Joker’s walk speed and jump arcs. When he reaches “hahaha” he is near insane and even has unblockable moves.

Harley Quinn: Her character trait is the ability to pull out a random item, which can be used to help her in the fight. Sometimes Harley will pull out an item that is not of any use which will leave her in a frustrated animation, to which she is vulnerable to attacks from the opponent.
The items that can be pulled out and their abilities include:

Picture of The JokerGives Harley a strength boost
Time Bomb - Harley tosses the bomb, causing big damage
Poison Ivy PlantOver a period of time, Harley`s health returns

Green Arrow: has the ability to use his arrows with a single button press. By pressing certain directional inputs with the character trait button, it allows Green Arrow to change the type of arrow he uses into one of three elemental types.

-If the Character Trait button is held down, it allows Green Arrow to charge the arrow, as well as move around and jump with it and aim where he wishes to shoot it. This can also be dash cancelled if the player chooses to not shoot the arrow.

-His Default Arrow deals little damage but can be used unlimited times.

-His Fire Arrow deals the most damage of all the arrows, including damage over time, and has a blast radius which can damage himself as well as his opponent.

-His Electric arrow deals less damage than his Fire Arrow, but stuns the opponent for a small amount of time for combo opportunities.

-His Ice Arrow deals the least damage out of all his elemental arrows. They freeze the opponent, leaving him/her open for follow up combos.

Cyborg: his character trait is the ability to regenerate health. The longer the button is held, the more health Cyborg regenerates.

Deathstroke: makes his bullets unblockable for a short period of time followed by cooldown where the bullets always miss as confirmed by Hector Sanchez from Netherealm.

Black Adam: Summons 3 lightning orbs that circle around him, that damages those who come into contact and cancels out projectiles. Recharges after 5 seconds.

Catwoman: her character trait is the ability to perform a small combo which is best used at the end of combos. Her character trait requires her to land a certain number of hits on her opponent until it can be used.

Bane: his character trait is the ability to use his signature drug – Venom. Using Bane’s character trait gives him a temporary stat boost of power.

Raven: gives her a boost of strength for a short period of time and enables her to use new special moves exclusive to when she uses her character trait. This happens when she utters the word “Azarath”, or says, “Darkness take me.”

Doomsday: When activated, Doomsday’s body turns into hardened rock which allows him to become near invulnerable, preventing pop-up combos, makes enemy’s projectiles ineffective and cancels throws.

Sinestro: will take time to activate a sentry that will fire 3 times with 5 second intervals, similar to Batman’s character trait.

Source: http://www.gamingcapacity.com/injustice ... breakdown/ (Super move descriptions included)

I think Cyborg and Green Arrow have the stronger traits of the cast in overall since Cyborg can literally heal himself the entire match and Green Arrow can spam arrows with the press of a button.

Also, i have been seeing too many times that most of the cast's traits are an extra boost of strength, summon projectiles to shoot, and twice of switching weapons. Did Injustice lose it's creativity or something?

Update: Heads-up! Ares and Killer Frost has finally been revealed in this official trailer!

This concludes the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster as of now. We'll just have to wait and see the last 4 characters when they come out as DLC.

6 days left till it's release!

Holy crap. . . I guess we can confirm that multi-dimensional story plot for the game.

Prior to the Harley trailer you couldn't have convinced me at all this story was going to go in an alternate universe direction.
Frankly... I think this is pretty freaking awesome. Alternate universe JLA showdowns are almost always awesome and this may well end up saving the story for me, if it helps to alleviate the sodomy that's been seemingly done unto Superman's character at this point.
