So, it came to happen one day that (forgot who ;~;) mentioned me to do an Ironman against him. I had some free time to burn, and nobody was really on, so I decided to go ahead and try it and give it a shot. We made the room, he and I talked for a bit, then we realized something..... none of us knew
exactly how to Ironman properly. We each had our own unique ways of playing it, and when I asked asked around, know one really knew all the rules/details, except for 'use the entire roaster'. So the match ended up with us both choosing a random character to start with, and then picking characters going down the line (at least, I think it went that way :/ ).... He left after some time, partly because we kept changing the rules ever so often and it eventually got to the point where it didn't feel legitimate enough anymore. Sooooo, yeah..... Some time passed since then, and I'm deciding to make a guide for it now, and for all other future revisions of SSF2 so people can have something to reference to and use for Ironmans.ヽ(‘ ∇‘ )ノ
The Official Smash Ironman Rules:(By g-regulate & Overswarm)Regular Ironman In a regular Ironman, both players have to pick 5 different characters to use. All the characters must have 4 stocks (or 3), for a total of 20 stocks for each player (or 15 for the shorter version). The players then choose their opening character before the battle. They then start on a random neutral stage, but can also agree on the opening stage. After a player loses all of their character's stock, they then must pick another character and counter-pick a legal stage. Each player starts with their remaining stock, making a character with stocks gone to have to self-destruct to match their previous stock from last game. If a player loses their 20 stocks, they lose the match.
Full Roster IronmanThis type of Ironman is basically the same as a regular Ironman, except that it involves the entire roster. It's most popular as a side-event at some tournaments.

Web. 31 July 2016.[/url]http://www.ssbwiki.com/Ironman (In case what I said was worded weirdly or unclearly)Note: These are the rules that are accepted by the smash community, and may be altered in any way you'd like. Stocks do not have to be 4 or 3 and can be however many you'd like....but less than 5 is preferable to keep matches from being too long. You do not have to chose just 5 characters, and can pick any number you'd prefer for regular Ironmans. For full Roster Ironmans, you can have it so instead of counter-picking, each player can start at a designated character and work their way from there. Stages that are legal are recommended for reasons of character abuse and unbalanced chances of winning. Stages can also be random throughout the Ironman, instead of being counter-picked. If a player leaves midway, just keep track of the stock, character, and stage and resume playing once he/she has returned.
