Menich Drake had never been the most… responsible person in the world. He was a young mechanic of eighteen with a slightly muscular build and a playfully aggressive demeanor. His face had rigid features, with a prominent chin and firm jaws. His nose was slightly bent due to a fight he had admittedly lost. Though his figure was marred by many scars, his skin tone was a fair tan, and his wildly spiked hair a blazing auburn. His eyes, in contrast, were dazzling green, standing out against the rest of his body. He wore a pair of goggles on his forehead, though he rarely used them; they were really just for show. His favorite outfit also consisted of a grey tank-top and a camo-green pair of cargo pants. He also wore heavy boots and open-fingered gloves.
Menich's favorite weapon was a special sword, designed in the shape of a drill. It was designed to spin rapidly at the touch of a button, and could spin in both directions. This could have some very interesting effects. If the tip of the sword came in contact with something while spinning, the motion would cause it to surge forward quickly. If it is pressed up against another sword, it could be spun so that the other sword is knocked away, allowing Menich a chance to strike. It came with a specially designed scabbard. The sword had to be spun to go in.
Because Menich worked in a garage, his shirt was almost always stained with sweat. He had been working the auto-shop for almost as long as he could recollect. Almost. There was one phantom of a memory that kept intruding his thoughts. It was a time of doubt, a time when he was a poor orphan boy all alone in the streets. He had to constantly fend for himself, losing weight because of malnutrition but gaining muscle due to continuous attacks and fights. He already had more scars than anyone would have thought possible for someone his age. He would have been lucky to survive another year.
Fortunately for Menich, he didn’t need to. The generous owner of an auto-shop had taken him in, seeing a potential in Menich that he didn’t even recognize himself. He had trained well, taking to auto repair as if he had been doing it all his life. The man, going by the name of Otto Drake, had favored Menich and even named him. When Otto passed, he left the shop to be inherited by Menich, the closest thing to a son Otto ever had. Menich took over the business, and profits began to rise.
However, Menich didn’t like the tedious and mundane life of an auto-repairman. He loved the thrill of the ride. He had many vehicles of different kinds, among them a truck, a bike, a car, and even a monster truck. All were custom-made to his liking. The designs of the vehicles were unique from those of other companies, and more efficient. These were the ultimate displays of his skill. He loved to tinker, building machines and little trinkets. Some of them were even designed to be weapons, and these he always carried around with him. Hidden, of course. But when he wasn’t doing that or working, he was out and about in one of his many rides. He fancied himself a good driver, and he was. So good, in fact, that the government noticed.
You see, Menich was constantly getting himself into trouble with the authorities, breaking nearly every law of the road imaginable that didn't include wrecking. And indeed, he had never been in an accident. Ever. Alas, his luck couldn’t last forever, and he was surrounded by cops. However, due to his inane driving capabilities, they offered to shorten his jail term if he would agree to take a job from the government as a courier of sorts, delivering packages, participating in undercover operations, and some other odd jobs. He immediately agreed, anticipating the excitement of a job that actually required him to drive. Fast.
