Yeah, your ZSS is in dire need of work if you want to get to the level of Nick Riddle and Salem, but overall, you did pretty OK. At least you got to play against Mew2King. One problem that you have is that you are too easy to edge guard. I hope you realize that ZSS has more recovery options to work with outside of her tether recoveries.

yeah for sure - i kept misinputting fsmash during our series, which is a huge killer esp when facing someone on his caliber. i'll definitely keep working at it - this was my first ever tournament and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out even if i got completely wrecked.

i got punished on every stupid move i made and i'm happy it's happening now and not later.

i got a little too comfortable with zamus's recovery after playing some of my friends, ill definitely work on it.

Zero Suit Samus' down special is a really good alternative recovery imo.

well yeah, i actually do use that a lot, but m2k was just so good at preventing me from getting back to the stage either way it was tough to survive

like uair->down b is the typical momentum cancel for zamus but that just leaves you with an up-b-boosted double jump to recover, so you have to use it sparingly, and down b is really easily gimped if its your only option left (because inputting like literally any command for like 2 seconds causes you to go into flip jump mode)

but i do know about the little nuances of zss, it's just hard to put them into practice sometimes

dont worry though this isnt the last you'll see of my zss ;)

I hope not. It's got potential. Just learn to recover better and see if you can get better at item control.

Well thats not the only way, a friend can show it to you.

Would still lead to you buying it if you really wanted it, but some people would just play it with friends and not actually buy the game.

Didnt mean it like that, i just meant that some people learn of games through friends instead of on their own.

I learned smash through one of my brother's friends, but it would be about two years later that I actually got Melee. To be quite honest, I didn't play it much, and when Brawl came out, I played that a whole lot more, completely overshadowing Melee as a whole. But then, in Red's sig on the EF, I saw a video of a professional smash match between SilentSpectre and Wobbles. I watched SilentSpectre completely wreck Wobbles, three stocking him into a rage quit. That's when I decided, I wanted to get to where he was. So I went back to Melee, practiced with Falcon and the rest is well no one cares.

my cousins owned 64 so they made me play it with them one time, and of course i sucked cause i didnt even realize that holding a different direction with an attack button did different things. so i studied up on the game and got really into it
