Eton looked at Serene, she winced in pain and he wondered just how much trouble she was going to have if she was hurting yet even with the luxary of his arm.

"Your sure?" He asked her. "Maybe if you get something to eat, you'll feel better."

Tekun looked at Eton, in his hands was a piece of salted meat, warmed up again by the fire.

"There's plenty in the supply bag." he said taking a bite out of it.

"Mmm... I'm not hungry. If you want I could hunt for you." Rana said at a normal volume. Something about Tania prickled the back of his mind, as if he hadn't seen someone like her before. It was like the other boy- Tekun- but not violent.

Serene didn't feel like eating, and shook her head "I'm fine, thanks." she told Eton "I just need to rest probably. Do we have any good medicine here?" she asked, looking around the cave again.

Black King diverted his gaze from Windy, he had enough. The laughing reminded him of the ridicule. He coudl still remember it now. "UNPUREBRED! UNPUREBRED!" those laughs stung him hard, even though he never showed it. "You wouldn't understand what I've gone through...nothing is that fun anymore..."

Eton nodded a no. He knew they were short on supplies, most of them lacked it.

"We have very little left, only about one bag and another with one use and some bandages left the Tania gave me. Why, did you hurt yourself again?"

Tekun finished eating his food and looked at Tara and nudged her a bit, not saying anything, wondering if she was awake at all or out like a light.

Tania heard Serene's request and regretfully went to get what was left of her bandages, she wanted to make peace with Serene, they were both pegasus riders after all. "Here" said Tania holding out the bandages for her. The smell of cooking food reached her nose and her stomach growled. "Oh how embarrassing"

Windy stopped eating and c*** her head "Well instead of dwelling on the past look to the future and live in the present." she replied, "You have a great rider and she cares about you too. You and I are lucky that we didn't end up with a total whack job or nut case."

Serene laughed a little. "No, I just was hoping I could take some of the pain away with medicine." she told Eton. "You see, I normally keep some in Black King's saddlebag, but I can't seem to find it now. It's like it disappeared."

"I used them to treat your wound from last night." Eton said holding Serene up. "I'm sorry, but I was worried.....and needed what I could....whatever was left got passed on to Tekun i believe." He said and looked at Tania who was offering Serene bandages. He was worried about what would happen between those two. He didn't want either to die, let alone the other be a murderer.

Black King didn't laugh, and simply walked away from Windy, but he said something to her while doing so. "You simply disgust me"

Serene didn't know what to do, and she grabbed the bandages. "For now...I'll just settle with these, my legs hurt too much to do anything on my own." she quietly thought aloud. She looked up to Eton. "Could you take me back to my spot and apply these?" she asked him with a soft look in her eyes

"Serene, they won't do much." Eton sighed as he held her. "I'd be willing to carry you about so you don't have to walk, but I suppose thats why you have your mount to help out." He looked through his supply bag that was at his side. Nothing, or was there, he pulled out his medicine pouch. There was very little left, but enough.

"I'll apply what little is left in my bag. It should only kill the pain."

"Not even a thank you"thought Tania as she walked over to the fire, she reached into her pockets and took out a knife and fork and took a small piece of meat that had been cooking on the fire. "Well I guess not everyone has to like you" she thought as she cut her meat and put it into her mouth delicately chewing. "She may not like me but perhaps I can still try to be her friend" she thought determinedly "And barbarian girl can be my friend too" she continued looking over at Tara. She payed little attention to what was going around her as she plotted ways for the three of them to become close friends...even though they were both a bit unladylike.

Serene smiled at Eton. "I guess it's fine then. I just want to be able to move around without the pain annoying me." She looekd into his eyes "uh...and...Eton..." she started saying, but stopped as she was rather embarresed. She turned her head to the entrance, looking for Black King, but she gave up. "He'll be back later, I don't need him at the moment anyway." she thought

"What is it?" Eton asked Serene who now seemed to be looking at the entrance of the cave. She had that same look in her eyes again, from last night. Was she still embaressed or was something bothering her. He wasn't sure.

Serene look at him again. "It's just that...how can I put this..." she stopped and was obviously stumbling. "Eton...I...I...I..." she started stumbling even more, trying to get it out, despite her nervousness. "I love you..." she slowly said, looking into his eyes.

Black King was walkign towards the mouth of the cave, and he heard her say that. "What is she thinking?!" he thought. "I thought she had five men fighting over her back in the city, but this?!"

Eton stopped and looked into Serene's eyes. She wasn't joking, she couldn't be. There was a silence, at least for Eton it seemed. She had gathered up the courage to say that. The other night, he had kissed her as well. He knew he had feelings, and she had come out with hers already. Eton hugged Serene and held her tightly. It was clear words did not need to be said. "I...feel the same way." He whispered in her ear.


"Just....think." Julius repeated. "Oh.....um.....you pulled the robe closer to you...I needed to stay warm." He said looking over to his armor and putting it on, it was cold, but would later provide warmth for him. He was stupid to not have worn it the other night. "Let's....get going then." Julius said looking at his mount who was already up, trying to graze.

Serene hugged Eton back. She felt a sensation she had never really felt before. Sure, she had plenty of men running up to marry her, but she never loved them. This was the first time she actually felt love for another.

Black King moved into the cave. He looked at Serene, disapproving of what she had done.
