the character probably will but i'm pretty sure the maps are staying exclusive to the 3DS version
which is a real shame considering the Wii U is a better platform for the game but whatever

Don't worry, there will be a Definitive Gold Version on the Nintendo NX.

Yeah. My issue with the game right now is that there is no definitively best way to play it. 3DS has all of the content with s*** graphics, less enemies and slowdowns, Wii U version is missing my fairy and literally everything in the 3DS version besides characters. A wrapped up package on the NX with my Ghost Toon Zelda and I'll buy it day 1.

Did I miss a Breath of the Wild topic somewhere, or is the last post really from when the console was still called NX?
Anyway, Breath of the Wild comes out tomorrow and is already getting tens from what seems like every reviewer on the planet and several off, so...that.

critic opinions are worthless
opinions influenced by extreme hype are worthless
play the game and make your own decisions

They're definitely not worthless. It is very good to have insight about a game from a professional source that is not directly affiliated with the production of the game. While it's not the be-all, end-all decision-maker, I would argue that they are very relevant to decisions in buying games, even if some of my favorite games are poorly reviewed. However, having the opportunity to rent is definitely the best "review process" ofc

In this day and age I definitely can't assume that the professional reviewers are not in bed with the developers, but I digress A reviewer isn't playing the same game you are. They get the game for free, they play it looking for things to write about, they comb through it in an attempt to give every part a fair shot (the good ones, anyway), they intentionally try to view the game from the perspective of their readers, which may or may not work You pay $60 (or much more if you were insane enough to buy a whole new console for only this game), you play it to have a sweet a** time, you ignore the s*** parts as best you can and you don't bother wondering what others think of the game These are just examples. The core point is that a professional reviewer doesn't play the game the same way you do, and as such, their opinions aren't worth much consideration (unless you find you happen to agree with most of their other reviews) The only valuable reviews are from players. Regular ones. Especially the ones who weren't ULTRA HYPE HOLY s*** prior to release
