yeah if someone's joking around with a couple of friends and everyone's in on the joke then "f*** you" is meant more light-heartedly and everyone gets that

but if two people in a relationship are actually fighting over something that happened, then a goddamn slap to the face most likely means their relationships gonna be on tilt or will probably burn to the ground. (unless this is a hollywood movie in which the chick gets married and the guy speaks out during the ceremony and interrupts and everyones happy in the end)

No, I get their point, saying f*** you in a joking matter is okay, but even in a non joking matter it's not even that bad, really, as we are very much assimilated to such words, context or no context.
