The judging process will now begin for the Orchestration competition!!

I, along with several other judges who I know personally, will be rating the submissions based on originality, technique, listening experience, and the overall amount of creativity around the given theme. Please note that just because your instrument samples sound best doesn't mean you will automatically win!! Other things are taken into account as well, so in the end may the most creative win! I will post updates every so often to keep you updated, and I hope to have the final results within the next two weeks.

Well unfortunately I didn't come out up top, the winner turned out to be Robomanus. But I must say, deep down I expected he'd win. His work is quite professional, if you haven't listened to his piece yet check out the contest results here:

Scroll down and you can see the exact placements. I'm in 10th place, and the highest was 20th so I'm right smack dab in the middle. Not bad, but I definitely think I could do better.

The next time a contest like this comes up I'm going to use every last minute of the allotted time. (I was actually a little late when I found this one, so perhaps time was a factor) Plus I'll probably purchase some new instrument plug-ins for even better quality sounds!

Thanks! I enjoy the instrument and use it in a lot of my pieces. I'm planning to make a lot more songs! I just made a midieval style one here!
