OFFICIAL 2014 MCLEODGAMING POST OF THE YEAR You've all been waiting for it, and the time has finally come! In this series of polls, we will honor the most entertaining, well-thought out and high quality post this forum has seen all year. Which post might that be? It's up to you to decide! Update 1/14: The Post of the Year awards are over, and it was a lot of fun to put together. Thanks to everyone who participated, be it in voting, discussion, nominations, or of course, making the posts themselves. Let's have a great 2015! Voting will take place over five rounds, and the post with the most votes will move on to the final round. Voting will be done off-site, in order to ensure that the results are hidden until ready to be revealed. Voting will be open for two days each round. Calendar: The Final Round ended and the Post of the Year was announced at 1:00 AM EST, January 14th Round 5 ended and The Final Round began at 1:00 AM EST, January 11th Round 4 ended and Round 5 began at 1:00 AM EST, January 9th Round 3 ended and Round 4 began at 1:00 AM EST, January 7th Round 2 ended and Round 3 began at 1:00 AM EST, January 5th Round 1 ended and Round 2 began at 1:00 AM EST, January 3rd Round 1 voting opened at 1:00 AM EST, January 1st The official McLeodGaming Forums Post of the Year 2014, As voted by you, is... I'm gonna try to make things short, which is disadvantageous for me because it will invariably lead to more questions, but whatever. I'm an anti-natalist. That is, I don't believe humans should ever reproduce. Procreation to me is immoral on the basis that life is being imposed upon the child without its consent. With life comes a great deal of pain and suffering. Giving birth is giving a sentient being the ability and the capacity to feel and experience pain and suffering, and that's wrong. Since the child can never give its consent, it isn't right to force it into existence. The primary purpose of sex is to reproduce—to impose life on innocent sentient beings. That's why I hate it, that's why I hate the glorification of it. You can certainly have it, if you choose. Just don't get (her) pregnant. And if you do, abort it. I've always said, when it comes to the abortion debate, I'm pro-death. Do I hold resentment for you if you've had children? No. What's done is done. Just don't do it again.
