Yeah, I get that, but I was thinking of people who don't have both consoles. Even though they aren't paying for Mewtwo, they're still paying for the other console and game that they don't have. Those guys are spending their money just to get that free DLC content. Seems like a smart and thought out tactic.

You can't be serious. No one is going to purchase a $300 system and a $60 game JUST to get DLC that costs $5.

I mean...come on dude.

come ON now

You don't need both copies of the game to get Mewtwo. It's just free that way. You can still get Mewtwo if you only have one version, but you need to pay for it.

they didn't actually say that though in the announcement, right
like it seems pretty clear that mewtwo would be sold regardless, but i can see why superkid thought the way he did

Just for the record he's asking for a link to the source of where you guys found that Mewtwo is also available for X money units. (Which I know is just common sense, but, it's superkid so...)

If you think about it Nintendo and common sense don't always go together, that's how we get the better (and the worse) games out of them. While they could sell Mewtwo for 5 bucks or whatever, only offering him for 300+ dollars sounds a lot more lucrative on paper, and Nintendo likes their money, so we'll just have to see.

My gosh, I am so happy you guys told me this. But yeah, a link that says that you could just buy his DLC would be nice too.

As far as I know, there hasn't been a confirmation by Nintendo, but I doubt they will lock a character at a $40 paywall

the number on that paywall seems to be fluctuating wildly

it's really stupid to think that they wouldn't offer him as a paid download as well. Nintendo did a poor job of explaining that, it seems

it'd be a really poor business decision

the worst part is that when his actual release date & price are announced there will be people posting about how nintendo "changed their mind" about his availability

"Pic of the day. In Stage Builder, you can draw lines on your Wii U GamePad to create stages!! It might not be the easiest stage to battle on, but you can even make stages like this one. For more details on how this works, check out "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50-Fact Extravaganza" (“Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50 Must-See Things”)."
