viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36661Anyway. Super Smash Flash 2 is not considered a sequel to Super Smash Flash, it is instead a reboot. A do-over. This is a little confusing because of the name, which we originally were not planning to keep, but now it's so widespread we may be forced to keep it. For this reason [being a reboot] we can't say that, for example, Mr. Incredible was a veteran. Which we don't particularly want to. This also has the second-hand benefit of making the additions of the game more apparent to new players that are like "I played Brawl, what reason do I have to play SSF2?" which we can just respond to with a simple "Check out the newcomers, and all of the new stages on this page."
