Also the vines looks like it hits instead of wrapping its victim if they're in air. No idea if that was intentional, but I expect the move to be limited for Tech chasing.

Make Growth a tether. Or Move ( A nod to Grip) instead. He needs a form of getting back onstage that doesn't involve getting spiked or hit by a hard read halfway through. Or let him change the angle like Rosalina. Or make him a hitbox. Or do something. He seems fine but his recovery is almost as unsafe as MM's. At least it goes about as high, much faster, and he gets it back, with increased horizontal distance, at the cost of harmless pellets. That makes no sense, comparing both of them. I now feel relieved about Isaac's recovery. Carry on.
