the image isn't showing up...
I recommend you to use imgur to host the images.
About the WFT sprite, aside from the fact her face looks a bit too angry, looks good overall.

The first of the Warrior Pose frames could do with some hyper extending. If everything reached out an extra pixel or two it would look more powerful.

Looks great. I would just add a frame or two at the start before she gets into the pose with the leg up. It's looking great.

I'm usually intelligent, I promise.

The hyper extension usually comes first in the order of actions. The arm would be fully extended first, then slacken back into the shorter version, not short, extended, short.

Here are some animations that feature the principle, if you want you can take 'em apart and study them frame by frame if you'd like. The old Darkstalkers games also features this principple very prominently and make for good reference material.

I'll definitely try it your way and post the results.

Thanks for these illustrative examples! You're really helping me progress!

Since I'm on break I'm thinking I should take some requests, here are some rules:
1) Should be SFW
2) Should be relatively smash-y, meaning somebody who could definitely get into smash (or is in Smash)
3) I'd prefer if you asked for some sort of animation to accompany the sprite, and I'd be grateful for any footage of the character performing said move, but that's not necessary.

I'll probably make a small sheet for WFT too.

Taking requests? Hmm... how about Kumatora from Mother 3 perfoming a PK Freeze?
Great job on Wii Fit Trainer, btw.

You're still new to animating so I really wouldn't suggest attempting very difficult stuff yet.

I would suggest spriting a walk animation for your Wii Fit Trainer or her bending her knees/crouching to get more expierence. Once you you're more confident with the basics you should start gathering more animation reference and attempt more difficult motions.

I wasn't being explicit enough, what I meant to post was that my completion of the Wii Fit Trainer would mark the beginning of my work on the requests.

Good progress there.
You need more inbetweens to make the animations look right. You can duplicate current frames and modify them to get the animation more fluid.
Try to look at references of the move.
