Momentum conservation is a big part of platform fighters. This was done intentionally - Smash games have multipliers used here and our multiplier is 100% conservation from run to jump. Now, as far as a technique, I don't think it's something we could refer to that way. Running and jumping are very basic mechanics in our game that everyone does, and the combination of two very straightforward mechanics that someone would do naturally even if not told about it is not really a 'technique' which is why the response is kinda negative.
This is kind of like calling SHIELD+A to grab a 'technique' or calling crawling (crouch+walk) a technique. I dunno. It doesn't need a thread tho. sooooo
