So, a discussion: If you're thinking about picking this up, what console would it be on? I'd like to play with you guys.

I'm conflicted as well. All my DLC/exports are on Xbox, but I really don't want to buy a goddamn Xbone when I have a perfectly fine PS4 already
I'm kinda hoping Microsoft shows something good at E3 that'll help me make the jump, but given they think Kinect Banjo is a good idea I have absolutely no confidence in them doing so

PS4 because lmao why would I ever buy an xbone they haven't actually confirmed the old instruments will be compatible yet in fact, they've said that getting the PS3 instruments working on PS4 is easier than getting the 360 ones to work on the Xbone because the PS3 instruments used their own USB dongle thing and the 360 ones used the standard controller wireless

Activision is teasing the new Guitar Hero: We've known about this for a bit now, but the official reveal is gonna be tomorrow at 12 eastern. The tagline "It's about to get real" worries me greatly. Rocksmith is already doing what Rocksmith does; nobody's looking for another REEL GUITAR game. I think the time is right for some plastic instrument nostalgia, but if they try to go the Rocksmith path (or worse, some halfassed frankenstein hybrid), count me out. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the announcement

The Green Day Rock Band export offer will expire on April 30thUntil then, if you pay a small fee, you can use the code on the GDRB manual to add all the songs to your overall RB library, making them playable in RB3 and presumably RB4. All the songs in the game are available as individual DLC in the RB store anyway, so you won't lose access to them after the export is taken down. If you exported before 4/30, you'll still be able to play the tracks as you always could. Just letting you guys know, in case anyone was thinking about picking that one up for RB4.

Two songs are getting removed from the music store on 5/12: Silversun Pickups - "Panic Switch"Silversun Pickups - "Sort Of"For those not aware, this happens every now and again due to licensing constraints. My understanding is that songs in this game are licensed to be sold for five years, at which point they have to be re-licensed or removed. Some bands aren't especially cooperative, so this happens. It's unknown if these removed songs will work in RB4, but I wouldn't count on it. If you like these though, you've got some time to pick them up. Personally I think Panic Switch is a pretty cool song, but that's just me!
