You don't have to score doubles. Like really. Teams will change overtime why would you try it.

If Doubles were scored, it'd be best scored in relation to a "team" of two players. It shouldn't be scored based on one individual's performance since your partner's performance reflects "your" individual over all doubles ranking. For instance, if a Great player and I won 2 doubles tournaments my "individual doubles ranking" would be great, but if I teamed up with a random in the next and he was playing badly then my "individual doubles ranking" shouldn't be hurt by his performance.

So if ranking were done by Teams rather than an individual, it'd be more accurate since it ranks there performance with each other. Skailler does it this way and although this way of ranking doesn't look as clean, it at least is more accurate. Also if you did it this way you could score each team like they're one player with your current ranking system. But personally I don't care much if doubles is ranked or not, although it "might" make a difference to those who don't normally play in tournaments.

To add something to that: Seperating each team into their players is tons more of work. YOu basically end up scoring every single player on his own, then add that to random partners and this just gets more and more complicated overtime. I originally did this for the HYPE! series, and Im going to give an example here: Team NStinct|Lite won HYPE! 1 and got 4 points. In HYPE! 2, Team NStinct|Eldog placed last, got 0 points for that and still was placed 3rd in the list due to NStinct winning HYPE! 1. Thats when I noticed "Meh, that cant be right" and changed it. Its easier, takes less time and is, as NStinct already said, more accurate.

Thought about this for a while, but how would you guys feel if there are separate X tournaments based on region (US or EU) with a final top 8 at the end?
