I don't really know in how far you wanted to stylise it so I can't really say much about the simplicity and/or proportions. I hate to admit but I personally think you over-simplified the face and it's features a little too much. I would suggest moving the facial features down a not next time so there can be more hair, that would also bring the proportions and placement closer to a real face.
