Turns out there was a minor error.

I've been out of the loop waiting for beta lol how'd shielda get all the way up there?

She has literally no bad MUs whatsoever. Zelda alone absolutely wrecks a good portion of the cast, and Sheik can be used to cover her weaker MUs. Plus, Sheik can be used to rack up early % combos, while Zelda can finish the opponent off with her dumb frame 3 high KB attacks that can KO at 20% offstage.

To paraphrase: Zelda is the best character in the game minus Marth and Lloyd. Sheik happens to do pretty well against both Marth and Lloyd. Cue Zelda being amazing if Sheik covers her bad MU's.

Probably the most accurate tier list in a while, 10/10

Forgive me for revealing our inner workings for a moment, but I feel a need to note that there's still a considerable amount of dispute over Wario. The current meta points to him being the worst, but arguments have been made that he's been counted out too early.

I won't go into any more detail than that; I just feel as if it's important to mention. It's the least we can do.

Zelda is on both #1 and #3. WTF?
Sheik too. She's on both #1 and #9...

#1 is Zelda/Sheik as a pair (colloquially referred to as "Shielda"). #3 is Zelda alone, and #9 is Sheik alone.

The Brawl tier lists did the same thing listing them separately. Before it was realized a few years later that Brawl Zelda was utterly irredeemable, it was perceived that transforming actually bumped Sheik up a few spots. That was the precedent.

It doesn't mean much in Brawl anymore, but in SSF2, both Zelda and Sheik actually are useful, and using them in conjunction makes them greater than the sum of their parts.
Not only can they cover each others' bad MUs and synergize with each other as mentioned above, but a well-placed transform can make for some serious mix ups. That's something that's never really been possible before because switching to Zelda's never been useful before.


(I actually had a feeling some confusion like this would occur; that's why I made the spliced Shielda smiley in my sig, intending it to be used here.)
