I like it so far. One thing you should look out for is jagged/straight lines. Try making everything smooth like this:

And also make sure that if a color is touching the outline, to make sure it isn't as dark or darker than the outline, like what you did on the mouth.

For Shovel Knight, I don't think that the chest-plate sticks out that much. I really like how Pac Man and Rayman came out. The idea of another Pac Man art is just screaming another "leak" (We had like two so far involving Pac Man). For Rayman, I might been seeing things but are the feet too close to the body. Plus I'm entirely sure what his left hand are doing.

I don't understand the Hand Thing

Actually looking at some images the chest armor looks thinner, but other have it a similar size to yours. It's fine if you keep it.


Since it's based off Omni's, I'm assuming that Rayman's left hand is doing the thumbs up gesture. Maybe there's a way you can tweak the hand to make the other three fingers more obvious that they are curled up.
