okay i'll preface by saying i'm super happy with what was included in afterbirth. i love greed mode, i love the new final boss (and all the new non-final bosses that were added), and i love the new items. some stuff, like the rebirth bosses having challenge forms and mega satan having unlocks, should really have just been in the game to begin with, but i'm not one to continue complaining after a developer responds appropriately to feedback by adding in the changes people are asking for.

what i'm really s*** about is tonight's patch, which added in the missing 40+ items and the f*** secret level everyone was hunting for. this huge secret was alluded to and ed even specifically addressed people asking if the content was really there by claiming that it was in the game but noone had found it yet. that's literally releasing an incomplete game. if he'd said 'oh we didnt finish all this s*** we'll add it in a few days im sorry guys' then noone would have minded. im not really into the whole ARG thing personally, but a lot of bigtime BOI and edmundm fans have spent the last three f*** days working together hunting for clues and experimenting with the game's mechanics to try and figure out what big puzzle was going to lead to unlocking the final level, the blue womb, as well as the 40+ items that noone had been able to find yet. it's really reaLLY insulting to your fanbase to knowingly put them through that and then secretly it was just literally impossible and the big puzzle solution was to just wait for them to release a f*** patch.

furthermore: edmund has never known, and still apparently does not know, how to balance. maybe instead of nerfing everything that was fun to use, try making the s*** options not so s***. it isnt hard.

LMAO i got PHD and then immediately afterwards got the wizard pill, so somehow that's classed as a good/neutral pill type

Afterbirth+ is out!

...aaaaaand it's completely broken in every way.
Most of the beginning mods are just going to be fixes to the things Edmund added that ruined the game. Would you believe they didn't test all the new bosses before release?

Well, they fixed the glitch that made the new final boss not animate, and they removed some of the more bulls*** rooms, but overall, it's still kinda meh.
Apollyon is a pretty fun character though, even if he's not as fun as Lilith.
