thanks! them's the feelings that these are designed to invoke! and no i didn't make a font haha, though i was tempted to and still might later on... for the moment i'm using one called imagine_earth for most of the menu stuff and promo material, and one called emulogic for a couple of specific in-game things. imagine_earth can be found on dafont.com and emulogic can be found on fontspace.com :)

I'm asking this after watching that gif for 10 minutes

Does the framerate goes lower when stuff like that happen but in bigger scale? Or like if there's some enemies while it happen?

well it definitely did when i tried coding it to start with lol! i've implemented a lot of time saver functions though so it doesn't really have an impact anymore. without trying to sound like im bragging the engine is pretty solid at this point, it'd take a really silly amount of things going on to have any major framerate issues.

after all these years of hearing about this procedural generation stuff i'm still not 100% sure on how it really works but it is cool as heck

over 100 microchips :O you know i'm gonna have to collect them all right? collectibles are fun, 'specially when they do stuff!

the visuals omg. teach me how to sprite, no dougy

also congrats for getting to where you are now in development! i feel happy for you, lol

the visuals have always honestly been the part of deep that im the least confident about since i have a pretty specific art style that i sprite/draw with and it doesn't always lend itself cleanly to what i need to create in the game... so i appreciate you saying that you like how it looks!

collecting microchips actually owns, it's my favourite part of any new playthrough of the game i do because i'm never sure what i'm going to end up with! it's a little simplistic right now honestly but in the full game there'll be a lot of different ways to come by new microchips too, so it'll keep you entertained for the whole time youre playing for sure
