Yeah, this is supposed to happen. Same happens in Brawl.

Except you can cancel Marth's final smash in Brawl.

Yeah, this is supposed to happen. Same happens in Brawl.

Not sure if a bug but also, Marth's dair doesnt seem to spike unless tippered(?) There was more leeway in other smash games with Marth's dair.

Wrongo :3 I have played Brawl, by pressing the B button you can cancel the final smash if your in the air so you don't go flying and killing yourself, AND if your on the ground, the edge stops Marth. So this can be used since Brawl did it right? LOL Same thing I just said Maya

Five things, (might sound picky, but hey)

1) In the event matches, if I had chosen a character from a previously finished event or just picked a character, went back to the event list, and then selected the event again, you can see the character you last chose in the player image, but you have to unselect and then select again the character if you want to continue. I think in the normal Smash Bros if you had gone back out in to the menu and returned to an event where you select a character, it would just automatically have selected your previous character without having to reselect or anything like that.

The event matches though are awesome, really nicely done!

2) When you replay a match after saving the file and loading it and all, if you pause during the replay, the camera will move in which ever direction you were trying to move at the moment during the match. If you pause when you weren't moving and standing still, then the camera won't automatically move around. I would assume that the intention was be to be able to pause the replays, and be able to freely move around the camera without having it move automatically.

3) When Jiggly puff or Marth (the character's I've noticed) do their down special, the sleeping critical hit thing or the deflector, if you you run and jump to have speed in the air and you do it, you fall straight downwards and you don't continue to glide in the direction you were moving in mid air. Intentional? Can't remember if its like this in SSB

4) No reverse falcon punches, or also intentional?

5) Link's taunt doesn't have a shiny ding, and his sword doesn't charge up when he's charging up his up special (like Marth does), so with no sound, it can be hard to tell when it's fully charge.

Aside that, the game is breathtaking and it's incredibly well made, so worth the 6 month wait!!! And I'm glad you guys also fixed the bug I had reported a few months ago (might have not been thanks to my post, but still) where you couldn't change color with the hand selector and you had to use the mouse.

EDIT:

6) When you use the hand to hover over the different special modes, you don't get a caption on the right like you do when you hover over them with the mouse

Everyone have huge FPS drops almos all the time? Some stages have less fps drops, but in most of all, especially with samus, marth, link, character collisions... etc all causes a toon of lag and gametime freezing.

My PC can't be the problem, the 0.9a works smoothly in it and the machine is over the top of the requirements of SSF2.
I talk with other users and they have the same problem. I donwloaded the game, I don't play it in internet.
I have the graphics quality in "Medium" and "hardware(speed). I always play witout full screen, just with the default size of the game when it opens.
Will this be fixed in the future with a patch? or there's a solution?

The Casino Night stage will freeze and become unresponsive until you exit the match.

At the beginning the smash ball appeared in the middle of the stage, stuck and unable to hit it normally

Sometimes when playing as Marth on Turbo Mode, using any air attack as soon as his Up-B attack hits flings Marth upwards.

Please quit the game, save the replay, and upload it somewhere if you are experiencing the freeze bug.

So much bugs ... well :

1) when Link miss his final smash, he will freeze in mid-air, invincible, and will be impossible to by hit.

2) when a Item is generate (or if Peach throw a turnip) in Casino Night Zone, all the characters will freeze and you have to restart.

3) Black Mage's Final Smash doesn't make any damage or hit with the Flare spell.

4) Lloyd's Final Smash doesn't trap the opponents and they can walk freely.

5) If the opponents try to move when he was trap by Kirby or Meta Knight Final Smash, he can avoid the finishing blow, or if is trap too far by meta knight's cape.

6) Link can use his Final smash on Tingle's Ballon (hilarious) and maybe other trap final smash, I didn't try yet.

7) : Captain Falcon's Final smash doesn't show the attack animation and him and the trapped characters will disappear and will be hurt at the end.

yoshi can infinitely use his down aerial so long as he doesnt hit the ground and his ground pound will stay in his fall animation on certain platforms like yoshis island and can still damage you, he can also move on it till hes off it

I think I just experienced another glitch..... I was fighting with Marth vs Mario, and Mario began attacking mid air like there was a smash ball and there was nothing there. Then the screen moved out like the smash ball was going into the sky, similar into brawl but there was nothing there, then the match resumed like nothing happened.

- If Chibi-Robo grabs a stage projectile, it bugs out and he can no longer pick up projectiles, he keeps attempting to throw the one he already has but nothing comes out.
- Shadow Moses Island music isn't looped properly at all.

I also get the lag that everyone is getting too... but that's a general problem.
